  1. You guys are insensitive. You shouldn't call it a two-headed baby. It's "dicephalus baby". That sounds so much better doesn't it? http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060810/hl_afp/indonesiahealthtwins_060810132311 Trying to separate that one would be quite like King Solomon.
  2. Quite an old thread to resurrect. I'd have to agree that the original poster confused style with ethics.
  3. So are you all looking forward to seeing this movie? It could be so bad that it's good.
  4. You are wondering whether men who make their living by fishing can keep themselves alive for three months by fishing?
  5. Nice work guys! Take me with you next time.
  6. Well this guy was "old skewl".
  7. Well there are lots of possibilities in the Enchantments, Toketie/ Edwards Plateau. That's backcountry. Icicle Canyon is car camping.
  8. Twelve Planets? The new ones: Ceres, Charon and Xena. Ceres is an asteroid, Charon is Pluto's "moon", but more of a twin, Xena is a distant ice ball, larger than Pluto, and part of the Kuiper Belt. The definition of a planet? It must be round and not a moon. Charon doesn't count because the center of gravity of the pair is between them and not inside Pluto. I think they ought to just cut it off at 8 planets, excluding Pluto.
  9. Speaking of bitterness, here's a story. There is a company in Yakima called Yakima Chief which uses supercritical CO2 to extract pure hop oils from the flowers. This stuff is super concentrated. It takes an itty bitty quantity of this stuff to brew beer. We received a one ounce sample for testing in the lab. My friend Ward, for some reason, took a finger and wiped it over the surface of the yellowish paste and applied it to his tongue. You should have seen his face. He said it was the most intense bitter taste he'd ever experienced. It took hours before it went away.
  10. I note that he has some non-standard bases in his genetic code.
  11. Try Mt. Stuart. I hear that there are some long routes on it. It's quite a crag.
  12. Well, it's a really small area with only six routes. I'm not even sure I can climb more than a couple of them, since I don't climb 5.11 slab.
  13. Naringenin, Muffy. It's good for you. It helps repair your DNA. DNA is like a set of directions. The words have to be spelled right, or they don't make sense. Naringenin fixes spelling mistakes in DNA.
  14. Come on, it works like this. Wallace says, "I get to ask any question I want". The response is, "go right ahead, but you might not like the answers you get".
  15. Do you believe he actually thought his questions would be answered? He's no fool. Wallace wanted to have an interview that people would watch and they did.
  16. Arch, I decided not to follow up on that comment. But I will follow up with this:
  17. Anyone interested in checking out Fee Demo Wall after work on Thursday? I think it only take about 20-30 minutes longer to reach than Exit 38. Sounds like something different to do.
  18. How is your Farsi? I thought the 60 Minutes episode to which you refer was one of the best in a long time. It was excellent.
  19. Little kids tire easily, but they have an amazing ability to recuperate. A little power nap and they are ready to run circles around you once more.
  20. You trying to draw me out, or what, Dru? It's been a while since I started such gems as Rappelling a Chimney, or Reeling in a Leader, hasn't it?
  21. "Woody Alien"?
  22. The flakes on the third pitch are a bit dirt-filled in places so you can only get fingertips in to layback them.
  23. Dr. Stanley Newell, 3rd Avenue, Northgate. 206-527-4177
  24. Not sure which one the Spanaway one is. Are you referring to Fossil Rock?
  25. If your brain were put into a matchbox, it would bounce around like a BB in a box car.
