  1. People who know Jens are willing to forgive his whiny tendencies on the internet because he's a genuinely nice guy and he climbs like a son of a gun.
  2. Raindawg is going to have a fainting spell when he sees your post. edit: damn Raindawg you are fast on the draw. Awesome.
  3. I've not heard of Flame of Adventure. Is it any good?
  4. People wearing giant cup insulators.
  5. Placenta Helper! Help, I'm cracking up! How about Bronze Baby Poop ?
  6. Okay, I didn't look under Urban Bypass. The variation appeared to be a Dreamer variation. That's just my opinion.
  7. They were asses, yes.
  8. No, I don't think the seventh pitch variant is described in Rattle and Slime. I've gone both ways. The new way is all bolts and climbs some cool knobs and bumps. The old way can be protected adequately if you bring a Blue Tricam or a medium sized offset Friend. The piece goes in a flared water groove. But as Dave says, the climbing there is pretty easy.
  9. So how'd it go on the West side? It was just four of us at the NBBG, but we had a good time. The fairer sex was indeed adequately represented.
  10. I like this quote: Those houses are going to go on the market and depress prices.
  11. My orange Alien is a very old one. It's been tested by having been aided on and fallen on. But thanks for the update.
  12. This little factoid makes the existence of cc.com's Spray contingent all the more amazing to behold.
  13. We're having our Pub Club at the NBBG. But you all have fun.
  14. You mispelled the name Fixe.
  15. It's called a deal, an agreement. Perhaps you would not make such an agreement, but others have.
  16. It also has something to do with recognizing a good song on paper. It is really difficult to write good songs consistently. A few have done it, but most rely on other composers to a large extent.
  17. How about Amazonia Wall tonight?
  18. This requires a special device for the third, such as a GriGri or other, and he must self-belay. This would be slow unless the climbing were easy.
  19. We don't know enough about it to say.
  20. It's not a stupid question. Sometimes it's a no-brainer and which method to employ and sometimes it is a choice based on style. The interesting discussion comes out of how one decides what style to take and how the choice affects the quality of the route.
  21. Sometimes ground up can be just as safe. It all depends. Slab climbs, if done ground up, often have the bolts in exactly the wrong places- right after a crux, rather than before one.
  22. This is the Climber's Forum, so give him the benefit of the doubt that he wants a serious discussion and not spray. On the other hand he didn't state his opinion so that could be a tip off.
  23. Can you back out of your flight if they decide they won't allow a certain piece of gear? At some point the gear is worth more than the flight.
