  1. That may be what you recall but you're wrong. There are more than two protection bolts on Aint Misbehavin and there are none on Groundhog Day. If memory serves me, Ain't Misbehaving also has a third bolt near the top of this alternate first pitch to Groundhog Day. The top part is pretty easy slab without any natural pro. So how old a route is Ain't misbehaving? I assume it's newer than Groundhog Day.
  2. Sounds like an all-in-all super trip.
  3. That goes way beyond rude. But it makes for a funny story.
  4. I believe you meant moot. Why does it have to be cryptobiotic? It's grass. Grass does a good job of stabilizing soils. I can climb that without the bolts and have walked off. So what? You saying you have to be a 5.9 climber to climb this little crag? The walk off takes longer than rappelling. My objection to what was going on in this thread was that it was apparent that many of those commenting on the route had either never climbed it, or else had not climbed it in many years. They were commenting on bolts they hadn't seen. Just knowing there was one bolt was all they needed to know. Go chop those bolts. See if I care.
  5. What is a Tango? A self-locking carabiner?
  6. <<<<SHUDDERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!>>>>>>
  7. Man, I wish I could say I were upwardly mobile.
  8. Yuppies? Tell me about it. I work in Bellevue. To be a YUPPY, it is not sufficient to be young and urban. You must also be upwardly mobile, or be trying damn hard to project that image.
  9. Let's not overreach. I'd settle even for one.
  10. Those are the fossilized tentacles of a giant squid! OMG!
  11. I've had similar problems over the past two days. It's pretty bad when cc.com loads more slowly than rc.com.
  12. Quality thread-resurrection, all the way.
  13. If I were him, I wouldn't have time for cc.com either.
  14. Did you climb at Winterwalk Wall or whatever they call that side of the coulee?
  15. This is a double post. You WANT people to spray on it don't you?
  16. Here's an article on a related topic about maintenance of existing roads. Mattp is quoted in it. As Forest Roads Crumble, Access to Woods Slips Away
  17. I found one at Chainsaw wall last week too.
  18. Dave, I'm losing my mind. I can feel it...
  19. I know what the answer is going to be and so do you hemp. I remember Joseph saying he's only ever placed one bolt on a FA.
  20. I'm not familiar with those routes. Are they also on the Apron?

Just because Dwayner has long time friends and you don't you want to ridicule him? Is that what it is? Hmmm? I think he's made some very funny posts in the past few months. He's a master of the photo-essay. And he's shown remarkable restraint although I can tell he's been sorely tempted.
  22. You got me, there. No I wouldn't. There's the real part and there is the mental part and I probably couldn't handle that. The scariest lead I've done is The Kone, which isn't really very run out, especially compared to what it was formerly, so I am told. The longest run out I've done is Pigdogs on Parade, but the climbing was easy.
  23. If the chance of falling is high and the consequence of the fall is serious, I'll back off. The runout could be 10 ft or 100 ft, but what counts is whether you will hit something.

So Rudy, are you saying it just dawned on you?
  25. You were addressing Cluck, Chuck. Get your birds straight.
