  3. Yeah that's the approach I was thinking of...
  4. Yeah the avi danger is still a threat this weekend. Lame. Guess it's back to aiding in the rain at index.
  5. The base at the lodge at the ski are is 150" right now (or so they say). I looked at the approach from the ski area many time and it seems like you could tromp right over to the base from the ski area with out too much bushwhacking, this time of year. Is it some sort of illusion? sometimes what you see can be pretty deceptive when yer in the mountains. I've just heard horror stories about the approach.
  6. I buy a beer for anyone who sends one of the viaduct cracks and tops out.
  7. Somwhere near the base of colchuck balanced rock?

    bullshit!

Since when does "the valley" mean Jtree? And why does an NPS ranger need night vision and listening devices...I don't think there are many meth labs in camp 4.
  11. There it is. All the info... But do the items really exist? All that's there are drawings.
  12. On the inside from the two rear corners to the middle front of the fly, there appears to be a loop that can be fastened over a pole on the inside of the fly.
  13. He's a consultant. Here's what the link from his site offers CRAP Another link, A5adventures.com goese to a porn site.

    bullshit!

"After hearing the distinctive sound of a tin white gas container hitting the rock" The sound is oh so distinctive... I learned while in the valley that the rangers were using their night vision goggles and high powered listening devices to bust people by hiding and listening in to their coonversations in camp 4, and catching them as they went off for a safety meeting. EDIT: I agree he's a dumbass for lighting shit on fire in the desert...
  15. I can't find any info on the web. The only thing about A5 on the TNF site is the A5 line of bouldering wear, including bouldering tips. What the fuck is up with that. I'm no bigwaller by any stretch of the imagination, but I know enough to see the irony in a line of bouldering clothes named A5. The FAQ section on the site even explains how A5 stands for the hardest aid climbing grade. Does anyone know if the fly on the A5 double ledge is supposed to come with a pole?
  16. Yeah, it's easy, but it's the only good climbing photo I can find.
  17. That''s fucking classic, I wish I could have been there to see all that action. ..
  18. Similar experience at the coulee, sunshine wall. An army helocoptor flew by, it had the medic cross on it. It was at eye level and not too far off the cliffs. The side door was opened and I waved at the guy sitting in the door and he waved back.
  19. Why is Raytheon in Antartica? BTW, I wouldn't want to work for a company that makes missiles.
  20. Yes timmy. A good troll needs a well developed character that first is accepted and then starts asking a bunch of really dumb or contraversial questions, If you start off just spraying a bunch of bs you may be booted but it really lacks the depth of fully conceived sprayathon.
  21. The 'top' is always open to interpretation.
  22. I like olympia beer too. But where should pub club be? We should have a BBQ at golden gardens soon. I was there last night and was very jealous of the BBQ'ers.
  23. Didn't turn out? Sounds like it turned out better. He got to the top and took a more badass line. Nice work dawg.
