Cowdog? Picnic Lunch wall? Is that the one on the left side by Shiprock?

LOL, well spoken Ben! Glad they walked off on their own power! Given that there was a heavy snowpack last year, the North Face, the gullies in particular, might be prime to fly up. 2 tools, ice screws, settled but cold weather and Bob's yer Uncle!

Mikey (Wallstein) and John could both get up that given time and money. I don't know Sol up there at all, but he might as well. All they lack is the braggadocio to step up and say so verbally so that you will hold a bake sale for them, they have all the skillz and strength. Straight face. No bullshit. ps, I will help you eat the brownies if you have some, at your bake sale Dan. Which is why I won't even be carrying their jockstraps. -
Sweet! Whats the article/page/picture Bryan?

http://www.news.cornell.edu/stories/April11/GasDrillingDirtier.html There is no free ride. As a society, we are hooked and there's no easy way to detox. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Maybe we just need to stick to scraping the bitum off the sand in Canada and continue to use "clean" coal LOL ? Let the Arabs be our buddies?

This? Actually, both of the 5.10 offerings look good. The Grandstone and the Anastasi that Doug discusses. They have an EVA sole to cushion descents....

I'd buy for a story if you are ever in the pub. Sounds like a nice name for a sound. On other Raindawg style newz: http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/Team-close-finding-grave-Sir-Francis-Drake/story-13647919-detail/story.html "A TEAM of international treasure hunters is close to finding the final resting place of Plymouth hero Sir Francis Drake. They have found two of his ships which were scuttled off the coast of Panama over 400 years ago following the adventurer's death. The team believes Drake's lead-lined coffin could be near to the location of the two ships 'Elizabeth' and Delight have begun a search for the historical artefact." Good stuff! And if anyone needs a PNW/Oregon/Puget Sound connection, more good stuff here at some good writing and storytelling by Portland newsman Terry Richards: http://blog.oregonlive.com/terryrichard/2009/07/newport_man_believe_sir_franci.html

There's also a slideshow at Mazamas that night 11/17/11: Check here for more details: http://www.mazamas.org/your/adventure/calendar_event/1772/ prAna Portland & PRG Citizens Comp Saturday, November 19 at 10:00am, Portland Rock Gym" ___________________________________________________________

Warren Harding applied a zone rating to various climbers based on their ethics. Here's his take on Fred in his satirical work of over 36 years ago titled: "Downward Bound" "FRED BECKEY ZONE ? Mr. Beckey is the object of a complete investigation being conducted by the L.S.E.D. & F.S. to determine the validity of his prodigious (claimed) climbing record -- of which serious doubts have been raised. When one considers the amount of time Mr. Beckey spends driving to and from Seattle, talking on the telephone, and shitting, it seems more than likely that he has done virtually no climbing at all, despite the fact that he is reputed to be the oldest climber in the United States. Zone rating will be withheld pending completion of the inquiry." Lifted the text from the Petroskes mountain book site: http://jpmountainbooks.com/webbooks/harding/harding.html (Note: the L.S.E.D. & F.S. stands for "The Lower Seirra Eating, Drinking, and Farcing Society")

As the owner of JB's and TC Pros, if it was me, I'd wait for the Evolv Astroman to come out. Supposedly a collaboration between Peter Croft and some others... ...I think...... I wish that the sucky tongue of the TC's was replaced by the padded tongue of the JB's, that shoe would rock.

STOP THE PRESSES!! WOOT! A SUB (NEARLY) $100 ROPE IS UNHEARD OF THESE DAYZ! Here this ...(yes, I spelled it "here" and not "hear" so Rob can understand it...big deal) http://www.cleansnipe.com/DynPage/CSCat.aspx?lookupurl=climb&pagecontext=category&pageTo=2 "Mammut Eiger 10.5 Classic Standard Rope - 60m Classically trained vert junkies will appreciate the no-BS design of the Mammut Eiger 10.5 Classic Standard Rope. No gimmicks, just the essentials: this crag cord offers the reliability of a gym-worthy diameter while weighing in at just 66 grams per meter. Rated to six falls, the Eiger helps you project your new route in pursuit of the red point, or just helps you get a few laps in at the gym." $101.97 Woot!

Same thing it tells you and all of us Ivan. Google "Operation Mockingbird". I don't think anyone could compile a complete list, but if should tie you up for a couple of weeks thinking about it. Or in Robs case, maybe a couple of months...and then someone will still have to explain it to him slowlyyyyyyy. http://educate-yourself.org/cn/ciadisinfoinaction28mar05.shtml

For almost everyone I've climbed with, including moi: the totems take a bit to warm up to. However, after you've used them for a bit, most folks think they are awesome.
