Nah. Disagree. That photo is awesome on many many levels. Technically it may be perfect. Crisp and clear. It just pops out at you. It's art and humor on many levels. Becky has a reputation as a skirt chaser, it's the way he's always been. For myself, I do see myself cringing when I see and old guy and a young girl appearing sexual to each other in public, its because that's society pressing their mores onto me, or like 2 unattractive women kissing each other in public. Same same. However, there is really nothing wrong with someone having sex and being a sexual being in my opinion. Old-young or old ugly woman and old ugly woman as a couple as long as it's consensual, at least they have someone and are not alone and lonely. That's one more reason why the shot is so awesome. It challenges our preconceived notions.

Not me, I don't smoke and won't touch any weapon while drinking and I don't mix climbing (or driving) and drinking either. I've known plenty of guys running around armed with fully loaded machine guns who had been doing Acid, Meth, heroin, horse tranquilizers, peyote, reds, mescalin, hash, pot and some other less common drugs while I was in the army. But most of them were still smart enough not to drink around a loaded weapon. It never was a problem that I saw although if someone did too much (real good) acid (like a double hit of quad panel window pane) they'd be all but worthless and usually layed any weapon they had right down and forgot about it.

I find in interesting how many people thought it was real and took action fearing for their lives. I don't think Crevasses are an issue. Any and all will be very visible and avoidable this time of year. Rockfall, on the other hand, might be bad in places, and it can be sudden and easily fatal. Rocks can fly surprisingly fast and further than expected when they hit the consolidated snow this time of year. It shouldn't be a big shock to any climbers if they are heads up. There will be evidence of this occurring from marks in the snow and even visible rocks and boulders sitting there sinking slowly into the snow -keep your eyes open and when you see the evidence, even if you don't see a flying rock at that time, remember that is how they got there. Just move to any rib or buttress nearby where the evidence of this is not readily visible: where ever you happen to be on any mountain, and hopefully avoid the next ones. I was close to the other side of Adams Saturday, beautiful up there with the vine maples starting to turn, I was thinking of this very thing. It looked like there was little snow left higher up, but lots of rock:-) Wear a helmet. A good one. And have fun, nothing like a solo adventure to spice up the year.
