  1. Only if you are a 6'7" giant and not a 5'7" midget though:-) wait...whats that you say? ...."stick clip".....ahha!
  2. Speech is free. Toss a pie (or 3) and it's assault. Really. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/249066.stm pie tossers were fined. They go out of their way to make the pies soft. Here's the details. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No%C3%ABl_Godin Can we assume then, that you are also fine with the school kids throwing books, shoes, panties and pies at you anytime they please for ANY REASON WHICH THEY DEEM ACCEPTABLE in class then?
  3. Can't say: the closest I ever got to that kind of thing was getting my ass slammed down hard for standing too close to in the path Robert Kennedy was walking. His wifes autograph took some of the hurt out of it:-)
  4. I should have said HELL NO! Hey, if it's gonna be a free-for all with no repercussions or penalties, then it's fine if a bunch of asswipes are going to start tossing tomatoes and other objects anytime some unpopular person steps into public? If the assault with the shoe had been heavy and broken Bushes nose would you still be fine with it? That we should ignore the rule of law and just overturn some shitheads conviction for "expressing" himself because Bush is not popular seems like a real real bad idea. If he had thrown a book at Vladimir Putin based on being angry at the Russian invasion of Georgia would that be OK? Pick many similar scenarios throughout the world and ask if that is the kind of world you want to live in. It would certainly make diplomacy unnecessarily difficult to engage in. This would, however, make New York an interesting place when the next Yassir Arafat type or Robert Mugabe shows up on the streets on the way to the UN. "Oh look, Robert Mugabe, what a prick I think I'll throw my laptop case at him I don't like his policies"....hmmmmmm Sorry, I don't get it. There, I elaborated, but it shouldn't have been necessary should it, you knew what I was going to say didn't you?
  5. Opps, sent you some great folks to get out with contact info, but I think they are squares (my bad). I'd go, but you know what a pussy I am.... have a good time!
  6. My friend Gent says he'll be doing a aid clinic. It says: "In case you want to rehash your own skills, educate a partner, or train a belayslave for your next adventure: Gent Mendes will be teaching an Aid Climbing class on Wednesdays in April (1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd of April), from 7 to 9 PM at Clubsport Adventure Center. For more info or to register, call 503-968-4555 (Activities Desk) at Clubsport with any questions. Happy climbing! Gent"
  7. Yes fat women are disqualified: also, despite the natural erotic attraction we all have towards them, Jerseys, Holstiens and Guernseys are also sadly not considered. from WWW.HotJizzCows.com and WWW.EroticCowFantasies.com hmmmmm, cows..... ______________________________________________________________ hey Adam, I think I came across your picture on the net, but you're i the back there and I'm not positive: this you in the back..? Looks familiar....

    Close Gitmo?

Thank God for civilian oversight, it's been there since the very start of the country btw, and is still there despite congress sleeping on this one. We can probably stop discussing all the minutia and side issues as JH just totally nailed it right on the money with this post. The manipulation, lies and deciept from all quarters of the Bush administration that resulted in us attacking Iraq was outrageous. That they have put folks like you into harms way based on lies hurts even deeper. Many still hope that like Roosevelt's secret and illegal assistance to Britan WW2, that there MUST have been something behind the magic curtain to somehow have justified this.......(still waiting but not holding my breath for that BTW) Here's the best post to come around in a long time. Not much to add to that work of art there. Of course, although it really doesn't mention Gitmo and the prisoners there, you can certainly get there and a bunch of other places fast enough if you just consider it for a moment.

    Close Gitmo?

Here ya are Matt. These guys in Gitmo are prisoners of War. As such, they don't need to have trials and convictions. As prisoners of war, they have a duty to kill you as their enemy if released. Some of them have already been released and later picked up on a battlefield. Sooner or later one of them may get a lucky shot off and kill a guy like Mike. Some probably have already. Unlike the rest of us who can sit on our asses safe and sound, Mike and folks like him do not have the luxury of pontificating and splitting these fine hairs in the safety of their homes far from the real threat of violence most of these pricks are bringing to there tables. However, I do not want to argue for leaving it open. Certainly there are innocents mixed into the mix of major shitheels locked up there. The aspect I particularly find angering is what appears to be routine torture. I thought Stephen King the novelist nailed it when he said " If water boarding isn't torture, then waterboard Jenna Bush". edited to add I see Serenity made that point as well while I was typing.
  15. Then are you advocating higher gas prices for those who aren't paying for the war as well? Say, you pay $8 a gallon and the rest of us stay at $1.99. Can we all then choose to pay for any military? Afganistan? Troops in Germany, Italy, Israel, Korea? Or can one pick and choose like a smorgasbord? Say, pay for Korea, but not Iraq, Iran and Afganistan? Just askin is all:-)
  16. Yup , for sure Ivan, Alabama. http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/03/11/alabama.shooting.spree/ Of course we have Pogo here with 36 and no firearms needed. Then ya got Tim McVeigh, in another category as well. Thank God no ones hit the NY Subway with Sarin gas. Plenty of strange people out and about for sure.
  17. Where'd you meet your partners? Cascadeclimbers.com? It's not like that. Partner #1 was his brother who is more than capable but had recently had the 2nd hernia operation. 1st one was still causing him some pain. Turns out that doing a pitch here and a pitch there doesn't prepare you for the extreme pain of long hanging sling belays with the webbing pushing right in the wrong place. Partner #2 wants to learn aid, and is competent but had just bought a pair of jugs a month ago, had never been on a wall, or done any aid. I'm gonna fix him up on that end this spring, dudes a great person and solid free climber...shouldn't be a big thing, stuff like this is not uncommon around walls and longer committing routes.
  18. Hola Dave: I take it you want the place to remain "secret" or under the radar?
  19. That's sadder than hell. And Germany already has very restrictive laws for firearm ownership. They have these small critters they call deer and they do hunt them, but to do so first you need to take a one year class and pass a test and then the extensive licensing, permits and forms all filled out first. You get one chance at the test, if you fail you're done, you will never hunt in Germany. The upside is that once you've gone through all this, people tend to buy very high quality firearms. I shot some skeet over there with the Germans and some of the high end shit they'd drag out to use was very impressive to me.
  20. Over on Brogan Spire near Staender ridge area. There's a few real good routes in that area. Delirium Tremons which use to be 10a but is now 10B (as I age:-), and Round River, the only 3 pitch 5.4 in the area are both "Must dos" I would think, with a bunch of other real good other routes closeby as well. Frankly Ivan, it's been a while since I've been over on it, but it use to be one of the better things to do on wet days. I have better gear than I use to have, and I would think that the offset HB style wired nuts would be rockin over there.
  21. Plaidman, one more possible thing to think of or to consider. Try doing the Great Roof route first. It's not too far to access it but it's out of the way/off the beaten track enough that it's rarely done, so you won't be in anyone's way if you chose to be on it all day and dog it slow and methodical. It recently was freed by Beth Rodden and the pics I saw appeared to have had some big new 3/8" monster stainless bolts added, so probably safer as well. Pretty good nutting and very comparable to the WF first pitch, but you'll have it to yourself to dial your stuff in.

    Is this ethical?

I don't think so. You are an arrogant little fuck, though. □ "Q.E.D. is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum, which literally means "which was to be demonstrated". The phrase is written in its abbreviated form at the end of a mathematical proof or philosophical argument, to signify that the last statement deduced was the one to be demonstrated, so the proof is complete." Proof complete. BTW FW, Bradleys seems like a pretty good guy, no reason getting all aggro. Life's already too short. Take care all!
  23. Or they take a hard turn into no mans land in an attempt to distract from the real issues. Sleevegate anyone? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bonnie-fuller/why-wimpy-david-brooks-in_b_173025.html BTW, I think that laziness and cost savings attempts are responsible for a lot of the medias shortcoming.
  24. And has quite the tan now as well....BTW, I have a Samuel L Jackson story, ran into him in LA a few years back. Pretty classic. Next time we're standing around the campfire ask and I'll let it out. I was in touch with my inner retard at that point.
