  4. Sikorsky MH-60G Pavehawk helicopter blade
  5. I didn't know cats would eat count chocula
  6. I think if you are getting traction devices you should get them for all wheels. The breaking improvements are nice and the rear end won't swing around on you. I'm assuming you are talking about a Tundra in 4wd by the way otherwise you're not getting very far with chains on the front... Just an fyi, schwab will not mount just front or rear studs. All 4 or nothing.
  7. No kidding, narcotics are a prescription drug for a reason, not just to make things difficult. Many people justify carrying other peoples' old prescriptions for climbing by thinking the concept does not apply to them. Others who are responsible consult their physician and ask for a prescription up front, explaining the concepts of mountain accidents and what would be good to have with them on a remote climb. That said I'd probably be downing them if I was in a bad situation for a long period of time, and knew the contraindications.
  8. diiistel is outrageous, truly truly truly outrageous
  9. it took some work to dig that one up
  10. Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92 There is not a bad track on this album if you like Aphex Twin.
  11. Steely Dan - Gold. Some people love to hate these guys, probably because they've only heard the bad radio hits. For some reason I like them and this album has none of the lame radio stuff and plenty of the good stuff.
  12. I have found hammerheads to be great in-area bindings! I've literally jumped into my freerides before. The AT skis-on de-skin is a piece of cake once you get the "ski rotation momentum" trick down to grab the tail.
  13. This doesn't sound like much fun. And faceplant when you forget to lower your heel risers. extreme skiing on 30° suckas!
  14. Naproxen-based products like Aleve can increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight, if that is important to you. Nothing a sunscreen can't fix. As far as I know, basic Motrin is just ibu, so the generic 200mg tablets will do the same job for much cheaper. If narcotic analgesics are on the table there's a whole world of things to play with. But not exactly a first choice for "joint pain". If you have given your partner narcotics like oxycodone while waiting for an evacuation, be sure to remember to let the medic know before they administer morphine, etc. when they arrive. It would be easy to forget in the chaos.
  15. I'm a big fan of Excedrin. It is a cocktail of acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine, and can make those long exits a little nicer. Otherwise, I carry ibuprofen in loading dose perscription quantities (800mg) for serious musculoskeletal injuries, less for minor pain.
  16. I wonder how they would enforce it. I could see some cool james bond scene forming where you're outskiing usgs helicopters as they throw seismograph tape at you.
