    Thin ropes

you might want to be a little more than a 1/3rd of the way in on the rope since I bet that ice floss stretchs and it would be a pain if your left over coils didn't reach the guy due to rope stretch. cbs- didn't mean to be a smartass sorry

    Thin ropes

I believe cbs is a web script that periodically does text dumps from freedom 'o' hills

    Thin ropes

just giving a hard time. I would just assume you need some thin prusiks when the line gets thin like that, and it tends to saw into the bank of the slot deeply. I'd sure deal with that to save the weight though, if I could afford yet another rope it would just really suck though to find out your prusiks won't grip on your z when you really have to start cranking on the thing.

I think it is 357fernonrock-med.jpg crags. heard it is a true testpiece but the 900 fill is unverified and highly dubious

I took a look at Split Image the other day on my way to climb mt hood and was wondering how people can get their hands free to make those clips. looks pretty intense.
  22. It's all I've used in the randonee market, so I can't really give good comparisons, but it definitely is not like climbing in plastic mountaineering boots. It is very stiff and locks your whole lower leg. It is not that much heavier than a lot of plastic tele boots though. I'm intrigued by the scarpa f1 but have not seen one yet. that might be a great climber, or could be rotten at both skiing and climbing. unfortunately skiing and mountaineering are opposing goals. You want to roll your ankle to french on steeper ice, but that is exactly what you don't want when skiing.
  23. unfortunately the denali xt is not the greatest climber. I have toured pretty far in them before though.

    I need some advice.

climb mt hood every weekend at all costs
