  1. let 'em call! let 'em call! I love getting out of my other job. Some chestbeating rescue guy always gets up in front of the media saying how they risked their lives to save some idiot. B.S. They love going out and doing that stuff. And if they don't want to go they don't have to go. If it is unsafe, they don't have to go.
  2. I read that before, those waterskis are crazy. Surprised he's still alive

  5. the fat trolls in neon pink 1-piece suits were scaring the buffalo off cliffs and such
  6. This editorial was also on there, not a bad one: charging for rescues
  7. It's probably better in mid-winter. We had to negotiate a lot of refrozen avalanche debris later in the year. I was skiing in invernos, which proved to be annoying too.
  8. Well, that's just not bright! If instability persists it must be controlled. Entering an area where you would not go otherwise to fetch somebody who is most likely dead is not a good choice.
  9. seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. It's a lot of fun, perhaps one of the best outings on Hood.
  10. ***You are Ignoring This User*** eh?

  13. now you've got me psyched to get up there for some turns
  14. this quick reply make will make pagetops way too easy
  15. best time to climb it if you are a skier. The approach up to the hogsback can be a major undertaking if there's a lot of new snow and you're breaking trail, and kind of creepy at that slope angle. You can avoid much of it by heading directly to crater rock and skirt the slope by hugging the rime. The schrund is nonexistant. The rope-up choice is yours. The winter storms can be postively brutal.
  16. see you there! I might make it tonight but was just there last night. ran into texplorer who had apparently been there for hours bouldering, routes, then bouldering again
  17. Would like to hook up with someone to route climb at PDX rock gym on a semi regular basis MWF 9-11ish pm. If you want to do leads, I'll need to check off to do that but I generally don't go to the gym to practice leading. No problem doing that too though. Flexible on days too. Bouldering area too crowded.

  22. I caught a bit of "Rich Girls" the other night - follows the lives of Tommy Hilfiger's daughters. That show is pretty funny - and illuminating on how some people live their lives They were on some outing to the Ferrari dealership. The best line - "What's WalMart?" haha

    DONE!!!!!

If graduate programs (in the sciences, at least) were subject to labor laws they would all be shut down within hours.

    DONE!!!!!

The difference between work and school is at work you are working for the customer. At school you were the customer. The cool thing about work is on the weekends you can forget about it. Unless you work at a lame place!
