  1. you see a guy with a "patrol" pack on lift serve, 99.5% of the time when you look down you will see tele bindings
  2. I think I saw this guy just the other day in Dutchman Flat snopark cranking the 2-cycle

    Fleece Vests?

ha! careful how much knowledge you reveal so if I get a gold one I'll have short-skirted beehives at my beck and call?
  4. oh the chance to see the faces of those guys as they bit into some choice plastic served up by el presidente
  5. In that case too bad he didn't try to serve it to somebody. Could you imagine the look of pure terror on the puppeteers' faces lurking in the background as he handed that over to the troops who he's already screwing over? BWHAHAHA!

if it's anything like mt. bachelor's and others' agreements with the forest service, you're free to wander through any time you like, as long as you don't become "a hazard" or interfere with mountain operations.
  7. ....summer in Argentina that is
  8. am I really in the same league? damn better hit the gym
  9. I injure my thumb and wrist ALL the time skiing.
  10. Here's another gem from eBay... ice tower looking for good home
  11. on a related note: how the hell do you learn to work the terrain park w/o killing yourself in the process. I have never been more injured than I have going off large jumps just slightly crooked. even little kickers can kick my ass if I don't pay attention, and I almost killed myself when I botched a 360 this weekend. seems like there is a lot of marketing towards the park stuff (ski resorts really seem to push it here in oregon) but are there lessons or something to ease your way into this stuff? btw, I've heard tweaked or broken forearms are the number one snowboarding injury.
  12. what's with the sudden switch to bulletin board ebonics tell me, was the latte this morning off the chain? and the ill liftizles, where they lined up for shizzle?
  13. does it involve any chimney rappels? no epic is complete w/o at least 2.
  14. hey tele is cool. I have no problem with it.
  15. and then the subsequent whining on the way down when you stop at a semi-flat spot since they can't get their ass going again.
  16. The best is when they fake stretching their calves in the lift line to make it clear to everyone they are on tele gear
  17. Sounded like Saturday night was a bad night on the mountain with multiple lifeflight calls
  18. less bitching, more skiing.

that's where the "dru sprayshaw" comes from I guess
  20. you'd wind up in a ball in the corner of your tent in the direction it slips a big piece of skinning material on your butt would be great, just sit down on steep slopes, warm and no slip
  21. This is the queue to post my biannual suggestion for pants with skin material on them (not as thick though).
  22. the kicker skins idea is a good one. Another one is to hang on to them when you have to return them due to glue failure and you need to show a "before and after" example.
  23. definitely those climbs where I first pitched on gear (and it held, obviously).
