  1. It's a middling Grade IV, easily doable in a day but slow parties may bivouac.
  2. I'd like this too, but don't know if its within the software's capabilities.
  3. You got a problem with librarians? Libraries rule.
  4. Don't tell me your one of those umbilical users..... besides, tools are aid Real men chop steps.... ....real men in skirts, that is. I believe they would mince rather than chop
  5. And do you mean the 8.5 half ropes or the 7.5 twins?

Sobo, we would know this how? Perhaps its an individual thing, not a fundamental characteristic of all women.

Beck, it was pulled (along with a number of responses) because it was part of a digression in a discussion in the CLIMBERS BOARD on the issue of spray separation that had some value. If you will recall, Alpine K made some observations about how to take harsh criticism, which you took personally, but NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT YOU, and that thread was not about you, so it was culled on the basis of spray in inappropriate places.
  13. ipecac syrup, should be available over the counter
  14. I'm feeling spray weary, Scott.
  15. I appreciate the attempt to make a personal analogy, but that's already been the case ever since contractors had to be licensed. If my contracts were down a third, I'd have to consider an array of reasons, only some of which are external, and work on the internal pieces that could stand some improvement. In fact, that's a reasonably accurate description of my winter. So what am I doing spraying here, I've got a quote to work on. See ya'll later, thanks for the reminder Trask.
  16. Well, funny thing is, I've bought fewer cd's since Napster got shut down. I think the industry has more problems than free downloads, but it's always good to have a scapegoat I suppose.
  17. I'm in, along with #1 son, perhaps some others. ChrisT sounded like she was gonna go as well.

    Hey !!

Sisu, in case you haven't been following, this started in the Rock Climbing forum and got moved here, so Peter was talking about that forum, not this one.

    Hey !!

Wasn't deleted, got moved to spray.
  20. It's been a long time since I've been there, but also in the gorge's favor is that it tends to be underpopulated. I had a great day there on a weekend a number of years back, while folks were taking numbers and waiting in line all over the tuff. Peter is right too, the basalt in the gorge is better than much of what you find up in WA. Rumr, there is more tuff out along the Owyhee river, isn't there? I suppose Deadman's Summit is too far away to count...
  21. Did you cut-and-paste this from elsewhere?
  22. Oh man, not only are they ugly, they're unsafe to boot. Why exactly would someone do that in a day and age when safe (and camoflaged) bolting gear is so available? I'm no authority on the subject, but this doesn't really sound like an official Mountaineer's type project, but rather some misguided group of individuals who think they're doing a public service.
  23. Exactly. This forum was not created as an administrator's mandate, but was more of a grassroots proposal, and while it is not PP's forum, he was the primary lobbyist, and the format is still open to discussion. I for one am appreciating and digesting everyone's input, and expect that Erik and I will generate some formal guidelines that we'll post as a sticky on top.
  24. "ERIK WINSTON SNYDER, are you making death threats again?"
  25. Now now Timmy, don't be confusing the thread and the author... Hey, not that there's anything wrong you being gay Sisu, it takes a lot of colors to make a rainbow, and I for one appreciate the opportunity you've given us to discuss tolerance as a positive way of life.
