You mean like this? PEVesqA_3Po

Peter, did I misread the article? In this case I believe the 9th is kowtowing to a previous decision by the Supremes, not making a decision that will be overturned. The decision certainly sucks though, I agree with Arch's assessment. War on Drugs paranoia has tainted the whole pain relief debate, coupled with bizarre puritan notions of suffering being good for the soul.

I've got some vintage slides of that wall somewhere in the archives...

See, who says Americans don't want these jobs?
-
You know, that wasn't such a big deal in 1974.

My sense is that the image should be under your creative control, so if you directed that would be fine, sort of like a self portrait, but if your buddy made the decisions about the image, that would be fudging.

bump What's the Latte update Carolyn?

No Sobo, I think she's remembering another photo of you and considers shorts to be overdressed. -

Hey MisterE, looks like that feller needs to pay better attention to where his rope runs!

You see, here's the problem Cindy. You did post this from your own house. You have a static ip address, which means you have a high speed connection at your own house and it always has the same ip address. I do too. If you were posting on your laptop from some other location, the ip address would be different. This is what pissed Minx off. Normally, mods don't get involved in untangling trolls and false identities: it's the internet, we're all adults, and one does well to be wary. Usually there's some entertainment to be had in the game too. This one just smells weird, and trolls that elicit heartfelt responses from regular folk, known quantities here, are just poor taste. So, show up at a pub club, come to the sausagefest, go climbing with someone known here, and you can establish your bonafides if you care too. As it stands now, I fear you've been tagged as a dodgy and suspicious character.

I'm not planning to narrate, it's a bunch of old stuff from California, so I'll just do some minimal captions and you can look at the pictures. Anyone desperate for beta is welcome to chat me up after, but I don't think me gabbing about the old days will enhance the experience. I hear Oly will be showing slides of his beanie baby collection, including the rare large sized Princess Diana commemorative piece.

Yeah, you can see where the writer's hyperbole kicks in, no big deal, it's a decent article, and a rare chance for you to make clarifications to the small audience who will notice the funny bits. Pity about your lost fortune, though I think most here would agree you're most fortunate indeed. I think you should have named that route on Moffit "Almond Roca" so you would have Brown & Haley's Almond Roca as the full reference to the route. I hope you'll be around on April 1st for the Sausagefest and able to share a few pics. Have fun in Alaska.

It's a sign from god. You should quit skiing.

You might be unique among women I know, in that you're the only one I've ever heard consider the titillating possibilities of a visit to the gynecologist. Do you have any ideas to spiff up the mammogram experience beyond the usual sensation of your boob between two frozen plates of steel with a car parked on top?

Yeah, the best jokes sometimes require both research and context to make sense. Arch, I'll see what I can do, they disappeared my little monkey face from wherever I pirated it, so I've got to give my avatar a makeover.

Russ "The Fish" Walling demonstrates proper belay technique in this image blatantly ripped from his recent TR on Supertaco:

There's some shortish gently overhung off hand sized crack up above the snow creek parking lot, been awhile but I recall it coming in two sections, with a horizontal break. You can get an inobvious total rest by laying down in the horizontal break, discovered by a friend who has held the title of The Prince of Prone for his propensity to lie down whenever possible.

Careful, you're going to get Peter Puget all inspired to post about the greatness of Stevie Winwood...

Me either, it was the first thing that sprang to mind when I read your post. Maybe others don't follow your pearls of wisdom with the same slavish devotion as I, the president of your stalk... err, I mean fan club.

You mean this is just a troll, and not a sincere appeal for help through your emotional trauma? I think it is sick that someone would do that. Why would anyone want to yank the emotional chains of people they don't even know. Why evoke what is one of our best attributes (empathy, concern, whatever) and then step on that person? I just don't get it. Dude, I live on the assumption that folks are basically decent. A troll is a troll, but there is a bottom limit that most people won't stoop below. So forgive me for being a bit surprised.

Hey Dru, lets meet up at Duffy Lake, I can't wait to go climbing in the Coast Range.

Corvallisclimb? Terminal Gravity? Shapp? Lambone? DFA? Is Skyclimb an oregonster? Freih? BadVoodoo? I'm sure I'm missing other possibilities too Hey, wasn't Fejas the responsible party for that Counting Crows cd at Smiffyfest a few years back?

I think you mean Valhalla.
