  1. Spurious carriage returns, I fixed it for you. Great pics. Arch, is that child actually yours or a nephew? I don't recall you ever letting on that you have added "mother" to your resume.
  2. FYI ya'll, Doug's a good egg, one of the Tenino quarry climbing regulars. Hey Doug, if you don't get any takers, I know Chris, Joe, & Craig are coming out here Thursday afternoon and there are at least a couple routes that will be dry, so keep that in mind as a backup.
  3. It's amazing how hard some people will work to get something for nothing. Bummer about the draws.
  4. Pfft, rumor has it you're leaving the state, so we've got to have someone to kix around, eh?
  5. He's still got the chops too, here's Greg on The Crucible last December, a classic hands to squeeze line at Mt Woodson (yeah, it's south of Smith). This route doesn't get done without a rope very often Note: not my picture, but rather shamelessly pinched from Greg's Photobucket.
  6. [font:Arial Black]PHOTO CONTEST IS CLOSED - NO MORE ENTRIES[/font]
  7. You'd have to be familiar with Matt's posts and opinions to know that, and Eldiente is relatively new.
  8. Thanks, the route is El Camino Real at Tahquitz. Normally, butt shots are passe, but this one works for me.

    done

Maybe he just meant this was his last of his 42 posts for the day. Yeah, I counted.
  10. Off_White

    done

I certainly wouldn't bet a large sum of money on that.
  11. Staying with the vintage black and white motif... file this one under "cragging" "scenic" "alpine"
  12. Great tale Dawg. Surely you've got some dusty gems floating around in an old paper sack of slides and snapshots, post up!
  13. Ron Horton, the author, former Olympia dweller, and all around good guy. Maybe we can get a show in our little town, eh?
  14. Joseph, I'm just blown away. Old guard trad guy that you are, and you don't know how to jam? Have you never been climbing in the Valley? I'm flabbergasted. Lots of folks here can help build you a graduated tick list, you should quit your job and hit the road in about a month and don't come back until the end of June. Forget the concrete cracks, they're diverting entertainment, but no more like real crack climbing than the lowliest of gym cracks.
  15. I wouldn't say many, certainly not most. There are only a couple who have not had real world interaction with folk around here. "I'm not a woman, but I play one on the internet"
  16. Is there anyone else on this site who could become such a legend in under 19 posts?
  17. Roboboy, I loved that classic Trigger Finger shot, so I couldn't help myself, I had to clean it up a little for you.
  18. Here's one for Bouldering: and an entry for Humor: choking the chicken
  19. No Kev, neither of those people is me, I'm the photographer. My friend Bob and Robin, my girlfriend of the time, are the subjects. A ways back, that's me on Coonyard and sitting on a bivy ledge.
  20. Here's the climbing area in my front yard, circa 1915. Uhhh, not my picture.
  21. Bouldering in San Diego, about 1978. I used to love to take out a 4x5 view camera and screw around with mis-aligning the shutter and focal planes.

    marriage?

Steve, have you not been paying attention? If you want to go out on the town with Kevin, it's got to be a run to the QuickieMart for some Huggies. Still, there is opportunity for adventure... Pink, sorry to hear it, but it's really best to get it right before you get married. Still, tough process to go through.
  23. Awww man, you didn't have to go and do that, we'd have given you a free pass on the pushup contest without it. No wonder things have been slow. Get better chum, we need you to emcee the big sausagehoedown.
  24. Yep, base jump off a dam, he came out okay in the end. There's a longer version out there where he sits up, pulls the helmet with cam off, and you can see him sitting there. Still, the moans and groans with the blurry bloody hands is pretty grim.
