  1. That's pretty. Where is it? Has anyone thought about looking into climbing there?
  2. Another vote for the Ferrata pants; I love them. My only bitch is that a few of the seams came unstitched and I had to sew them; not a deal-breaker for me, though. They are heavy, and heavy-duty. I might go with the tights next time. I bought most of my first rack up there using the exchange rate.
  3. I'll be getting up for work at that time.
  4. Oops, I stand corrected on both above comments. Sorry if I led anyone astray.
  5. The "Seven Tippy-Tops" just doesn't roll off the tongue like the "Seven Summits", now does it?
  6. Coyotes are classified as a rodent and can be shot in any season with a valid WA State Hunting License. Go for it, minx, they'd make a nice purse.
  7. How's about mountain biking? I'm thinking that might be a good knee-friendly way to wind down at the end of the day. Any trails?
  8. So...you think my 5-degree down bag and a bivy is a bit of overkill?
  9. You could always do Ingalls S. Ridge. It'd be a fairly simple downclimb off
  10. I'm driving to Palm Springs and need a place to crash somewhere along the way. Either good bivy spots or a scrap of floor would greatly be appreciated. Gregory_W
  11. This is what I bought. Thanks to the chica at Feathered Friends for the help. Funny, I think I sold her on a pair of Scarpa Marathons, since I raved about mine so much. Thanks for all the suggestions, but I bought a pair of LaSportiva Mythos. I'm sure they'll work great.
  12. Gee, you're the master of the bloody obvious, aren't ya minx. Sheesh.
  13. Thanks, bud. I just might make it this year.
  14. billcoe - She's PRO-GUN, man. I've sampled a few things in the gorge area, but have a list of things I'd like to hit.
  15. For sure I climb like a sissy down there. I may attempt a bigwall siege ascent of Bunnyface; I might make it if I start training now. I'll probably have to topstep to clip the bolt ladder. It is a pretty place; I love that country. What are the dates again?
  16. 'smiff' is gay. Other than being pretty to look at, I don't get what there is to do there. Funny anecdote: When I first met my girlfriend (a sportclimber), she was talking about where she climbed and mentioned the "high-quality climbing" at Smith. Me, being a tradster, responded, "Huh? Quality climbing at SMITH???" hehehe, we didn't talk about climbing on our first date.
  17. SE; Problem with using a canoe, unless you want to carry it down the trail from the highway to the lake (quite a hump), you have to canoe up Diablo Lk (about 1-2 hrs for a fair party) and arrange for a portage from Ross Lake Resort, which costs $25 each way. Check out Ross Lake's website; it's got good info and a map or two.
  18. He thinks he can "fight a more sensitive[i/] war on terror..." What the fuck is that? Those words came out of his mouth. Does he even know what he's saying?
  19. The hike into Ingalls Lake isn't too bad. Snow Lake?
  20. Do you need to know anything about computers? Double that fee and I'm yours; I'll even mow your lawn weekly.
