Fuckin' A. Way to go, boys!

This is a nicely veiled non-answer. "I would have attended to it"??? That means nothing. What, specifically, would he have done? That early in a crisis, there's nothing to do but wait for information to start pouring in, and there are systems set up independent of the President to handle that. Give me a fucking break. It's the typical answer of wannabe, wasn't, neverhasbeen non-hero from nowhere with loads of cash who can't identify with the working stiff presidential candidate.

His machinegunner doesn't think he's a hero and his gunner had two tours under his belt.

I actually read that as "the first 270 pages are so good they could have been a book on their own, but the entire thing makes it epic. I actually read the 270 pages comment and glossed over the rest...oops, so much for good reading comprehension. Regarding your comment stating that this day was a blemish on our history, I would say that there are some who would take exception. This was a momentous and horrible day, for sure, but it sped up the end of a horrible deadly war. For that, many feel it was a day to remember. Oh yeah, I have to add that for those of you who oppose nuclear weapons and the using of them, it was a Democrat that did it first. hehehe

I don't mind him trumpeting his achievements, it's just when those achievements are appearing to be false. And, for your edification, job growth HAS increased in the past few years, based on new numbers that just came out.

The review says the first 250 pages are good, but then it's a steaksauce. All evidence I've read pointed to a protracted land war with the Japanese had we landed. They are a warring people, I'm sure it would have been ugly. I want to do more reading on the War in the Pacific as that's where my Grandfather served.

Gee, gosh darn, you caught me. Shucks, foiled again!!!

I didn't say supremacy, minx. You're getting emotional and losing the ability to argue logically...pull it together. I never said anything about my personal supremacy, did I? Man, it's easy to get you spun up lately.

greg, every now and then you say something so epicly stupid that there really is no point in discussing the topic with you. Please break down what is incorrect in my statement. Am I incorrect in my expansion of N-A-A-C-P? Am I incorrect in the knowledge that blacks were once called 'coloreds'? Or that this was a common term? Is the aim of most racially preferential groups to advance their own people? Remember the 'Negro College Fund' commercials? They weren't trying to advance Mexicans, they were advancing blacks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying what they are doing is necessarily wrong, but let's call a spade a spade here (pun unintended).

At least it'll match my pink Anasazi slab climbing shoes.

greg it's time for you to just be quiet and go fold the towels now. buh bye Nice retory, sweetie, but it doesn't work. Nice dodge. got that 'sweet little wife' thing down yet?

greg, every now and then you say something so epicly stupid that there really is no point in discussing the topic with you. Have you studied racism in America? Have you read about these groups? I doubt it. I have some interesting reading for you, if you're interested. Otherwise, get off your intellectual, liberal, fucking high horse and shut the fuck up.

I can't find an article on it, yet. As I said, I heard it on the radio; I'll keep looking and post something when I find it.

And the hundreds of thousands of lives saved due to ending of combat actions soon after.
-
I'll need to check on them, but you're probably right. I couldn't recall who, specifically, I had on that list; there are a lot of them.

Enola Gay dropped the big one on Hiroshima, the beginning of the end of WWII. Thanks to all our WWII Veterans who are still living. Too many are dying at too quick a rate, hopefully their stories will live on.

No, CJ, the media had nothing to do with it. Kerry made it a central theme in his acceptance speech. It's all I've heard: "I defended this country as a young man..." and all this bullshit about being a war hero. Not to mention the fact that I've never met a vet who saw combat who even talked about it, let alone claimed to be a hero. Wouldn't you say that any vote regarding the intelligence community would be critical? Especially knowing how our intelligence community has had so many problems over the past few decades. Any vote that deals with dollars, yours and mine, is critical. It's an extra responsibility to be in a committee, he should live up to it or decline.
-
Do you know what NAACP stands for? NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE It was so named at a time when 'colored' was the common moniker for blacks. None of the groups I named are working for racial supremacy, just racial separateness.
-
CJ, stick to the question. Why not? Kerry has made his service so central to his campaign, I would think he would fight to show his worth. It's good that he doesn't rely on his Senate service to prove his worth as a national leader. He missed 38 of 48 critical votes as a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
-
Actually, Kranish, author of that article is a shill who is writing for the Kerry campaign at the same time as he's writing for the Globe. I just heard on the radio that Elliott has issued a statement saying that Kranish misquoted him in that article. Elliott stands by his original comments. When I find a link I'll post it.

From www.dictionary.com: liĀ·bel ( P ) Pronunciation Key (lbl) n. A false publication, as in writing, print, signs, or pictures, that damages a person's reputation. The act of presenting such material to the public. So, if it's a lie, it's libel. Thus, wouldn't Kerry want to prove in a court of law that his recollection was correct? What would he have to worry about if HE KNEW his story was correct? Bottom line is that he doesn't. He's a fucking prima donna who got 4 months in and found out how to get out on a technicality. Further, it is not simply "opinions of some people". It is the eyewitness accounts of several decorated veterans who WERE PRESENT AT THE ACTION IN WHICH KERRY CLAIMS TO HAVE SAVED THAT GREEN BERET'S LIFE. The recollection of each of these individuals differs from Kerry's. Another point, one of the authors was Kerry's machinegunner so, I think they served rather closely together.
-
Here's my question for all of you who think Kerry is a war hero: If this book is false, where is the outcry and lawsuit from John Kerry? If it's a lie, why has he not cried libel? Kerry will fold like a house of cards very soon.

THey are all groups bent on advancing their own race, excluding other races, and are prejudiced against those different from them. They are all political. Just because the NAACP isn't overtly involved in violent action or protest, doesn't mean they aren't proponents of it.
