Oh yeah, I think the Pecker would be better at holding a fall than the beak for the reason that it has more leverage and better hooking.

I think the peckers hook more. They both work good, I seriously doubt you couldn't use one where the other works. A5 and hurrcane beaks aren't made anymore so BD is the only good option that I know of. I want some of there bigger beaks, those things could make a sketchy blade placement into something that could hold a massive whipper. The old option was to get specters and file them down, which I never wanted to do cause the cost. You can modifiy beaks a bunch for tricky stuff, like bent them to fit in corners, file them to slam into thin stuff, drill holes in the head to tie of for roofs. Whatever you want, just buy whats cheap.

Tuolumne Meadows was so cold when I was there. Stay in the sun and wear sunscrean!!! I wasn't even warm and I burned so bad. I used two sleeping bags at night.

Who wants to skip christmas and climb some walls with me? I'm kinda thinking Yosemite. El Cap has a handful of routes that are steep and protected from the elements. I'm fine doing most/all the leading. This is the perfect chance if you want to climb El Cap but don't want to lead! I'd also entertain the idea of doing a couple walls in a push if I have a competent partner.

I think the name must be wrong. This is Blair's and team route on North Norwiegn Butress. I think it is a V name though. It's in one of the recent years of AAJ. Someone look it up. IT sounds pretty proud too me.

He was also involved in the first attempt at Wyoming Sheep Ranch. I think he was way drunk at the time though, and various problems with ethics led to bailing. I think he put up N.L. in squamish too. Proud climber for sure!
