  4. Bolt clipper you can get new liners for those boots. the 11.5 boot is a 11-13 shell size I would go for them but don't forget to check barrabes out before you buy scarpa is normally 50% of our prices so. take it or leave it

  6. Dru this secret spot isn't your ice chest standing on end is it ??
  7. I its a little to early right now for ice. with the high Snow levels (4500) it means frezzing level is high (5500) so anthing below 5500 is quasi frozen Ice.I wouldn't except anything climb-able till December or untill snow levels lower to 3500 or lower. Dave
  8. it is a fun scramble if you do it durring the summer. But it depends on what time of the year you do it. Durring the winter you bag Washinton and head down west side off mount washington to traverse to elinor from there go up a chute 45-50 degree I think achevie the summit of elinor. The east side requires some upper forth to low forth class climbing I don't really remember. THere is probably ways to advoid it but I haven't looked for them. but doing it in winter watch out for avy I want to ski the traverse some time but head to elinor to washington but I just haven't done it yet Dave
  9. If you are in the muir hut you are probably smoking pot so you probably couldn't tell what the thing said even if you had the directions
  10. I perfer my "bubble". if you catch my drift
  11. Personaly when comes down to avy it shouldn't be your reason to get the plates. I don't use them and I don't think I ever will. Granted I have been in avalanche before and I intend to never make the same mistake. Overall I have never heard some hurting themself because there ski did not pop off. besides Do you really want your ski to pop off in the BC because if it dose and you loose it what are you going to do if this is a 5 day tour. Yes you probably have a leash but then you have this ski hitting you in the leg. I think it is just more weight and something else that could go wrong.
