  1. You just don't know when to give up Cavey... Get a life.
  2. If I thought I was so holy I would use this site to brag about trips. Most people don't realize that there are other safe places to ski left or right of the snowfeild.
  3. Must I ask again what is your point because you haven't really made it clear. All you have been doing if placing Ad Hominem remarks.
  4. Ad Hominem isn't not a very good way to prove your point.

Are we supposed to ski or do gymnastics Either way it's good snow in my opinion. It's the weather conditions that is the factor of weather or not you will get a cruiser long run that is fun and moderat if you ask me. With all your cartwheeling you would of damaged some of the trees and some activist would of reported you. Or you would of been lifted to harbor view so they could remove the tree branch out of your
  6. You also mentioned that it was atrocious lighting Cavey , therefore you have no privilege to whine if you knew that there was going to be better conditions elsewhere “trees” you should of gone there. You also mentioned that Sometimes you can get above the clouds…. Well did you ? And you do not have to predict if are going to get above the cloud level, there are pilots that fly their little airplanes and report back to sea tac airport to give accurate information on what the cloud level is.
  7. Very ture... So what is Hard man... Was Becky a hard man well he couldn't climb anything over 5.9 but in my book he is one of the greatest hardmen.
  8. Degrees for ice do suck for most NW climbers they don't climb anything over 45degrees. I used Degrees when I guide because they are easy on my feet but I find that I go there 3 pairs of liners in a year= the break down fast. This year I switched to vegas to guide in I was able to use the same liner all year long but I will have to replace the liner this year. I also use the vegas to ice climb in and they do great But I the alpha Ices are better for ice climbing but are colder.
  9. One of the main reasons for this debate.. Is one of my buddy and I are planing on a first ski desent on something and I don't want my binding to fall apart. My freind was thinking about freerides also but he is leaning to alpine gear do the intensity of the desent. But it is all talk right now an no action eh..
  10. beck no worries you were on the money I thought.
  11. No worries, It just no body has anwsered my Q's I was trying to refer to everyone because people post were explaining that leashes suck no breaks suck ect. I just want to know these bindings better comphese untill recently some good posts were presented on the bindings. Cletus, do you know how the titanal compares is it much diffrent ???
  12. P-Ridge I would recemend that route even if you weren't a "hardman". Its a damn good route in my book
  13. Winter ascent of Mt. Index (solo) via the N. Norwegian Buttress followed by a ski descent of the route, solo. If your schpincter ever functions normally again, you would certainly have "hardman" status.[/QB] I will leave the hardman stuff to tex... I just want to climb and have fun. Jens has a good point about taking that little dip in the lake. I was concidering do the route until taking the dip was part of the criteria.
  14. No offence I can read too. I have done as much research on them as the average Joe. I am looking at people who have skied them or have some familiarity with them in the BC in tense spots.
  15. What if someone started a climbing gym and made it into a big freezer. That would work ehh???
  16. when it comes down to it price dosen't matter because if this stuff breaks in the BC you are screwed and I don't bring an extra binding unless I am on a long tour. I tele most of the time but I am better alpine skier then tele. There are the pro's and cons to both tele an alpine. the Break to me is worthless. They don't work very well and the place I am going to be using these binding are going to be a place where I don't want my ski to come off in the first place. So dose anyone have any idea how much slop is in the bindings.... and how easy they break??????????
  17. As for skiing wensday: TUESDAY...RAIN...LOCALLY HEAVY AT TIMES IN THE MORNING... BREEZY WIND IN THE PASSES WEST 15 TO 25 MPH. SNOW LEVEL NEAR 9000 FEET. AFTERNOON PASS TEMPERATURES 45 TO 50. TUESDAY NIGHT...RAIN CHANGING TO SHOWERS... SNOW LEVEL NEAR 10000 FEET. WIND IN THE PASSES VARIABLE 5 TO 10 MPH. WEDNESDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MORNING SHOWERS NORTH CASCADES. OTHERWISE AREAS OF MORNING FOG AND BECOMING PARTLY SUNNY DURING THE AFTERNOON. AFTERNOON PASS TEMPERATURES NEAR 50. SNOW LEVEL NEAR 10000 FEET. THURSDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY... A CHANCE OF RAIN LATE... FREEZING LEVEL NEAR 10000 FEET.
  18. Flat light = tree skiing Why go to muir it is only a destination not an achievement? You can ski the same vertical, and better runs other places then “muir” . still I got more vertical then I would of buy just going to muir
  19. I come to disagree... There was champange powder in the day early on sunday and turned for the worst later in the day. Flat light sucked, the tree skiing was great and plenty of coverage
  20. quote: Originally posted by Cpt.Caveman: I hate leashes. They just get in the way for me. The diamirs look beefy and gung ho (my style) but I dont own them. Mikeadam has a set and cruises the snow well on them. I am jealous Not sure which ones he has but bet he has good thoughts.... I know they both ride well I have used the Titanal but if I ski hard and work on Precision with skis between cliffs I want no slop in the binding which can translate to inches on the skis. 21. 1730 g for the Titanal and 2100 g with integrated brakes... I agree with brakes, but You should be able to take them apart because you would have to change out brakes for diffrent width skis
