It needs to be in the 30's in seattle for that route to come in thats the impression that I get... Just Curious why is it Jim's book if it hasn't been repeated and its very unlikly for the average person who buys jims book to want to do that route
Really if you watch the temps, they haven’t been as high as forecasted due to inversion layers ambient temp is one thing and radiation is another.

I use a fishermans all of the time for my V-threads... But when I hook up with the canadains they use an overhand for their V-thread it kinda urks me... Using an overhand to Rap with I started using it recenctly in all situations rock or ice but I have climbing partners that tell me stories of the knot comming untied.. You you heard of any such stories or are the just rummors
James was trying to get me go on friday night still. I was thinking about going but I still thought the avy conditions were a bit too high. I seriously think James is still out there.
If you look at that way... Alpine skiers and snowboards are like sport climbers. And tele skiers that pertend they are trad climbers so in essences they bring there trad rack to smith and climb super slab and cinnimon crack and that is there life story
both of them serve there purpose in the BC I do both and I have both. Tele is a lot more work and more pure of a turn. But You can ski longer hard faster on AT. Tele boots are easier to walkin and AT boots are better to ice climb in. So it totaly depends on what the trip agenda is. SO I do both and they are both great.
These screws are great but if you... but it is nothing worse then being pumped out and trying to get the screw off your rack when you have shit tangled around the handle of the 360 been there done that. I don't know but they get tangled on the harnass very easy no matter how experanced you are. I am not willing to spend the time on a climb to find another racking method when the racking method I use now works great
