  1. It's a lot shorter flight to Pantheons from Mike's hangar, and the Bells are more fuel efficient than A Stars, but the big aStar at Hagensborg is a total beast - four big climbers plus a massive amount of gear move no problema.
  2. But not this weekend, cause it's going to snow.

No, his mind is not for rent To any God or government. Always hopeful, yet discontent, He knows changes arent permanent, But change is. And what you say about his company Is what you say about society. Catch the witness, catch the wit, Catch the spirit, catch the spit.

  7. The best climbing T-shirts having the most fun are the ones you buy out of some guy's VW van.
  8. If you don't know how to make royalty-free music it is time to learn.
  9. Can anyone out there tell the difference betwen robusta and arabica after it's been instantized? I'm still going to carry my backcountry espresso maker. It may be 300g but that's 300g of PURE POWER.

  12. This is one of the Mamquam summits?
  13. Colors aren't the only way to differentiate gear. Patterns and location can be used as well. Dude! the American flag and the French flag aren't the same just because they have the same colours? whoa
  14. For alpine, Leeper Z's aren't so great. I've gone through a couple dozen short LAs, Bugaboos and Kbs, and small angles for raps & so on and still have the same 4 LZs that I bought 10 years ago. A Leeper and two small-med angles works great for breaking open locks, though.
  15. Excellent trip report. The standard route is a popular hike and has been rated as "moderate scrambling" or "Class 2-3" in various guidebooks. Even allowing for ski boots and the presence of snow, calling this 5th Class might be pushing it a bit.
  16. OMG the Military-Industrial-Eddie Complex!

  18. It depends on what kind of rock you plan to climb. Short soft iron pins are often Lost arrow style and place in many cracks where the standard knifeblade or Bugaboo does not go in so well.
  19. By the way it's "Coast Mountains". The "Coast Range" is in Oregon.
  20. "This book is a lot like Mark Twight's 'Extreme Alpinism' except that Twight didn't write it."

  22. A certain financial policy was required in order to fund the wars. The results of that are now apparent domestically and, indeed, globally.
  23. You don't think the two are connected?
  24. Extensive testing by Boreal with Gullich, Bachar, Hill and Moffatt proved that for two shoes with same rubber, one purple and one green, the purple one climbed better tha the green one. Same thing here.
  25. There's a route in Wanaka called Fuckityfuckfuck (21, 10c/d) which was named so after something said by the leader during the first ascent...
