I've had the folks at Valhalla Pure repair some cams for me over the years -from what I understand, the guy who does the repairs no longer works there, but still conducts business through them. Yates does some stuff too -but it might only be reslinging or something like that...it would be killer to know/have someone local who was reliable!

Ran into Wayne and his crew during my first visit there -feeling fortunate I had a ropegun, awesome climbing! Day One: Fuck tape, that's for pussies -I NEVER tape man! Day Two: ...so around the thumb and then what..? Day Three: Anyone for some Solar Slab?!

A clown show for sure but it all came together on what turned out to be a great climb...it was sure nice to have Fred so stoked for us on the return as well -either that or he was worried we'd fuck up and leave him all alone to work The Stove.

I've been nothing with stoked on the Cascade Cobbler (several pairs now)...always a really quick turn around as well. So is Ramuta's back in town then? I used to go with them until they "moved to Montana", which is when I switched to CC.

I always thought JN's rope retrieval with a RUBBER BAND sounded a little nutty and brilliant at the same time...

Caught this on the West Coast Ice site -awesome stuff...Drury got climbed on the same day as well (while we were bitching) -well, all but the last pitch. The approach and (shitty) ice conditions made the going a bit slower than they were expecting. Don't matter now I suppose as the rest of this week will surely present a whole new climb in the next window. Good to know that Lyle is still crankin'!

Way to stick with it and look like you were enjoying yourself -your belayer was all smiles and very patient too; climbing can be so much more than just the climb itself eh? (I really wasn't giving you shit when I yelled up "you're almost there!" -we all know how relieving topping out after a gripping lead can be, and I was genuinely psyched for you.)

I was up there a few weeks ago and for the first time stayed at some place across the street next to the video shack -Hotel D'oro or something like that...it made the Mile O seem like a shithole in comparison, and it was cheaper. There is a Climber's Log at the Reynolds now too, which would benefit from having some more input.

+1 for some veteran catching...and how about Adam LaRoche at 1st base? Otherwise, I'd be OK with Branyan coming back. Jack's earned a rep -I'm betting he'll make/bring at least one "big" namer between now and then.

Dumping everyone they have (except Ichiro) and loading up the rosters with minor leaguers and has beens still isn't working.
