  1. Is it the Louvre?
  2. Something that begins with an "L"!
  3. I looked it up in my french/english dictionary and it said "sorry. Word not found." Is it a car?
  4. That is entirely sick, that is. That's a new level of commitment, eh? Like on the half-dome route, once you're on it, there ain't no way off 'cept down. I have a hard time fathoming that, mainly I suppose cuz I'm such a gumby on a board, but even if I wasn't, well, hell, that's one thing I wasn't born to do! Hat's off to whoever's finding that type of alien groove!
  5. What the heck's cytomax?
  6. Really?
  7. I'm kinda bumbly when it comes to snow-boarding, but I saw something that kinda sickened me: Some guy boarded down half-dome, I think on the east-side. Is this comparable to what you guys are talking about? It was pure sick, it was. Thin ribbon of snow, and losing your edge would have obviously been THE END. I've seen some sick things, but this really got me. And then, from what I read, after he did it, he hiked up and did it again! Damn.... As you guys talk about these descents, are they somewhat like this in consequence? One wrong move and it's see ya?
  8. SOUTHERN France.
  9. Is it not true that only France could provide us with a Derrida? Cutting apart our sacred cows while smiling and winking the whole time, no? Forcing us to laugh at ourselves, despite opurselves, oui? Why can't we all be simple in smile, yet affected in thought, like.... Oh by the way, another reason to love the French: An Affair Of Love. Be patient with it, coddle your initial aversions, see what it gives you in return. Quoi tristesse!
  10. Ski Thermogenesis? Oh come on. Could it be done? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe. It might be done yet for all I know. Who knows, really. I mean does anyone know? I don't. I predict that it MIGHT be skid skiid skied skeed skead oh in 18 or so, maybe 19, but in 6, NEVER! 1? Maybe....But then again, who knows. Is there someone out there comtemplating this? I'd like to get some names and numbers, please. Thermogenesis? Are we talking about teh same thing here? I predict 14. 14 is the number. Congratulations!
  11. Nice!
  12. Props on the chalkbag. It's an epidemic. I don't drink, so I'll just save it for the 2*6's! (2*6=fun.) But, have fun at the comp!
  13. Dang. $30? steep! I gotta buy some 2*6's for my house remodel! As far as winning something, don't know. My buddy Leif won the last VW comp a few weeks ago, but all he got was a lousy chalkbag! Plus, your standads are pretty high. You might be dining alone for awhile, since V12 on demand wouldn't even qualify Sharma!
  14. No, I think not. I do believe this DTA to be a wonderful knock-off, replete with mannerisms here-to-fore only noted in the presence of the good doctor himself. Bravo, DTA, Sexual Chocolate salutes you!
  15. I know I open myself up to all manner of plebian pablum, but I simply must inquire: What the fuck is a goddamn gaper?
  16. And your point is....?
  17. Hey wait, somethi ng's wrong here! Isn't this a big rant about why ranting is such a terrible thing???
  18. You're obviously better at math than life; get back to your studies before you fail!
  19. How much does it cost, and what's the prize list? Can trask win a date with you?
  20. Come on, Greg, don't be so grandiose. Are you saying we shouldn't have taxes? Taxes are and will always be a form of wealth-redistribution, with the rich needing to pay their fair share. Shit, even Bill Gates and his dad support fair taxation, lobbying hard against the removal of the inheritance tax. I guess you'll never really understand that we as people are in this thing together, this thing called life. Your approach seems to be usually limited to "me and mine". Well, that's your problem. Good Luck! Can you tell me what this is about about? Haven't heard of it.... Again, please don't be so grandiose. I don't expect the government to "solve all" our problems, but it can do more than it's doing. Right now the government works mainly to "solve all" the problems of the wealthy corporate elites; I don't think one can reasonably deny this. I personally believe in the motto: "A government by the people, for the people." And yes, the only way this can be accomplished is by active participation. And you know what's infuriating? Our voter turn-out is pretty pathetic, right? Well, if the damn people who don't vote could be gotten to the polls, the majority of them would vote more liberal, as in Democrat! (This was a study I read during the last election. Can't remember where.) Damn lazy Democratic whiners! You're so right in this case, Greg. I'd have a hard time thinking you'd be lining up to help the families in need, greg. There are plenty of families in need already, but all I hear from you is name-calling: "lazy welfare moms!" Such generalizations, greg!
  21. I know I know. I'm sick of all the people dying because of over-taxation! Come on Greg, the only people that should be paying taxes are the ones that can afford it! The inequity in wealth distribution is one of the most egregious problem we have here, IMO. It'll do the uninsured good, who now number something like 50 mil? Well, usually you'll learn about the UN and human rights in history/current events, and math in math class. That solved that one, right? Or do you suggest we start schools where the only curriculum is..umm...math? Hey Greg, maybe you haven't noticed, but we're in the middle of some silly little thing called a recession. Dang inconvenient recessions! Unemployment just went up again, to a ten year high. Shoot. It couldn't be that there simply aren't JOBS right now, could it? And yes, these departments ARE trying to protect their budgets, when an administration has stepped in that's more hostile to the average working-class joe than any other since, well, the last republican in office!
  22. Well, this sport-climber/boulderer has the impression that it doesn't come into real good shape until late winter/early spring. I tried it last year in Feb? and encountered tons of unconsolidated snow. March/April is best???? Although I don't see why you couldn't do it any time of year....
  23. Well, I just tried Trask's method, but I'm still in the dark, as I was before. Help! The heptaparaparshinokhsaurus is after me!
  24. So PP, in other words, one cannot "apply" this Heptaparaparshinokh diddly-doo to one's life, it just kinda happens? I am frightened that these things are happening without me even knowing it; is there any way to STOP this thing before it gets out of control?
  25. I do see it as happening, but what's funny is that what one sees as the encroachment on our liberty depends on the side of the fence one is sitting. I see universal healthcare as a boon to personal liberty. Do you know the stresses encountered by the uninsured? Such stress does not create liberty; just the opposite. "...the inculcation of our children that government is the answer...". What are you referring to here? "...constant reinforcement that taking government handouts is a good thing..." And here? "...and on, and on, and on..." And here? I see as much more evil the ability to detain individuals indefinitely, under the guise of "national security", without legal representation, than any of the things you mentioned (The US citizen Padilla was finally granted representation, as the Gov squealed). And some of you have made the argument that if you haven't done anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about. Where do you draw the line? Hey, I'd say a GPS implant at birth would be the grandest scheme in keeping our country safe. I'm sure we could convince the US population of this. I mean, come on. If you haven't done anything wrong, you got nothing to worry about, right? (Remember, during the height of the silly "drug war", over 50% of those polled were in favor of some sort of mandatory drug testing for ALL americans. The people are so smart!.)
