I don't know FW, and I'm not one of their members. That doesn't change the points made in the letter, which seem like a fair and good addition to the public discussion.
I guess I misunderstood. I do think the fire access angle is weak--but it seems to me there are too many great places that are now accessible to too few. Glacier Peak Wilderness is a case in point. Half a generation barely knows it exists! We need to restore the access status quo of, say, 1995 to keep people participating in, and advocating for wilderness.
