Tuning Fork is ass. One of the most uninspiring routes I've done. Its Wandery and doesn't follow a natural line. Beautiful area though.

How Lame... Anyway, It looks like the first pitch of the piller proper is different than it was two years ago, which was supposedly after the big rockfall. Its hard to tell from NOLSE's pic's. But I'll try and post some pics of the first pitch when I get chance to compare and contrast.

I think there was thread on that topic involving some dude plugging his climbers4christ bullshit. However, I think climbers should in general vote democrat b/c Indian Creek would be less likely to get drilled for oil, Castle Valley less likely to be developed for homes, and other Wilderness areas less likely to get shut down so it can be logged.

If you had an opportunity for a heli-ride to anywhere in the Cascades or various assorted ranges in BC and you chose to go bouldering ... you deserve a hot sausage enema.

Ditto on Kukanuska. I climbed there a couple times when I lived in MT. Good crag. Long trad routes in the B-root. Mill Creek Canyon and Blodgett Canyon. Mostly Blodgett. South Face of Flathead Spire (My Mom's Muscle Shirt, 5.10 IV). One of the best IV's in the world. July will be too hot unless you hit it real early. Best bet for alpine / long routes that time of year is to go up to the Bugs. Only a few hours drive from there. Mountaineering in Glacier Park also. Technical rock is way choss and not worth your time but some classic mountaineering slogs and scrambles. Cool place. Have fun. Eat Huckleberries, don't get eaten by bears.

Fawk the upper part is chossy! But the lower part is steep enough that most of the projectiles went over our heads. You get that nice humming vvvvvvvvvvv sound though as they go by.
