FA was by a guy named EC Joe who used to work out of Big Foot Mountaineering in Bakersfield. He and Dick Lerversee did a lot FA's in the Kern River area (Needles, Kernville Slabs, Elephant Dome, etc.)

Perhaps the Tour de France should allow any and all performance enhancers. The winner would be the one who can load themselves up with just the right cocktail to finish the race without keeling over dead in the middle of the pelaton. A grand melding of fitness and chemistry.
Middle school isn't the best time in most peoples lives to try for an understanding of such complex concepts. The brain development in many at that age just doesn't allow for that level of cognitive processing.
The first (and last) time I ever climbed at The Feathers, a guy fell from a route next to the one I was just starting and missed kicking me in the head by inches.
That whole place is a freakin' zoo.
