  1. no closures on weekends or holidays so most of you wankers shouldn't have problems accessing the goods.
  2. i didn't read it too closely but i liked the part about how his attitude about chipped holds changed.

    movies

i recently watched casablanca. nice one. oh, and last time i was in a city where there's actually a movie theater, i saw that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - pretty cool, i thought.
  4. yay for yahoo. lately it's been a constant battle to keep my emails under the limit. now no worries. yahoo rocks!!!

    Whoo Hoo!!

looking forward to seeing you in a suit, dude. will be a nice upgrade from the wifebeater.
  6. 31F when i checked this afternoon. some guy came in and said his balls were sweaty. both murray and i agreed that was a little more information than we needed!
  7. thanks. i could really use that moral support.
  8. working.
  9. it's gonna be HOT!!!
  10. i might be up for some climbing in the next couple of weeks. stop by valhalla and say hi.
  11. i might need someone to climb with wednesday, too. haven't heard from swaterfall so don't know if he's coming ...
  12. um ... well ... i'm sure we could make do. as in, "the more the merrier"? meet us at starbuck's at 9:30am.
  13. blood en route is icky. but not as icky as poop.
  14. partner wanted ... to climb granite ... in squamish.
  15. well, just because those people would go out doesn't necessarily imply that the business would do just as well if they also lost some of their smoking customers ... but i also know quite a few people who won't go out to places where there is smoking. imho, it is much nicer not to be subjected to it and i do shy away from places that are bad. not that i agree with making it a government-induced ban, but to the business owners who make the choice for themselves. it so sucks to go home and smell like you've spent a week cooped up in a coffin full of cigarette smoke. btw, any such ban should include the area outside of the entryways.
  16. torso length *and* width were the issues. there were no size options when i ordered it and i still don't see any offered on the bca website. bummer for me, but i'm pretty used to being in the size minority at this point.
  17. well, with the expansion of whistler hopefully more people will go there instead.
  18. sweet. wish my cat would do something useful.
  19. i ordered one this winter but it ended up being too big for me and i had to sell it. :-( it seems to have a lot of cool features without looking too pretentious. great for day touring but not big enough for much more. ps - the backcountry ski pack i really want (and know will fit me) is the osprey switch 25. w00t w00t!
  20. because it's spring. and they're only guessing.
  21. i like the petzl ecrin roc. it's a little on the heavy side, but the benefits outweigh that. it has way more fit adjustability than a foam-molded helmet and is easy to adjust on the fly for a good fit regardelss of whether you want to wear a hat or not. (it also works with high ponytails for the long-haired gals and hippies in the crowd - yay!) it's beefy and will stand up to much abuse, and it's also one of the more comfortable climbing helmets i've ever tried.
