i was going to recommend this climb as well. i wouldn't call it a "slab" per se, but there is definitely friction involved. fun times.

sorry to hear about your dad passing away. it is tough to lose people we love. hopefully this board can help connect you with others who knew him.

if they are old, you might consider ditching them. (for you and your partners' sakes!) they might smell good fresh out of the dryer, but the embedded nastiness will never really go away.

if you're working on your leads, i'd recommend klahanie crack on your next visit. it takes gear well (too well if you're prone to overprotecting), there isn't really stuff around for your rope to get caught on, and the jams are superb.

i was drooling over the topo for that climb just last night ... wishing i had the skills and energy for it. nice work!
