verizon works pretty well up through whistler at least. if you're not on an int'l plan you will be charged for roaming -- whether you're sending or receiving, and that includes text messages and voicemails! cust. svc told me that if i was going to go up for a short time i could change plans before going and then i'd have a month in which to change my mind back to my old plan. just a tip. you'll be charged for the portion of the month you use of course, but you won't get slammed for the roaming.

a few of us were mountainbiking on the other side of l-worth and heard the heli commotion. the rain we were getting drenched by had come from that direction. it was so slick i actually ended up walking much of the ride down. it's hard to imagine being anywhere near a rock-climb or scramble in that stuff. good thing it didn't end up more serious. here's wishing the injured a speedy recovery, and sending condolences to the family of those who aren't able to ...

that sucks for you! in january i paid $5 extra and got a mustang convertible. sounds like you learned a lot in the course. i think i've been fortunate in having been able to climb with some folks who really had their rope management skills and tricks down. definitely helps to have someone show you things the "right" way(s)!

i don't diet, but i started crossfit last fall and was truly loving it. then some stupid ***** decided to run her honda into the back of my jeep and cram me into the back of some dude's full-size gmc. well, it probably didn't help that some dude ran his ford escape into the back of her honda to begin with, but anyway. i wasn't able to do much in the way of exercise since then until fairly recently. i really want to go back to crossfit, but i'm having a tough time with the excessive cost (and lack of good times for classes). does anybody know of any other crossfit-type classes that are early morning (6am) that also have access to showers? anywhere uw north to lynnwood? cheaper than $20/pop?

the first time i went to j-tree, i was driving with a girl from the valley who had lived in j-tree for several years. when we neared, i asked her what those ugly trees were. i don't think she was very thrilled with my question, but hey - i didn't know, and where i come from trees don't look anything like that! the ones i asked her about didn't look like the one you have pictured here either - they must have been the babies. that one looks cool! i was in palm springs for work in january and the weather rocked a perfect 70 degrees. it must be prana-top tanning weather now! post more pictures, will ya? need a little sun here in my office!
