  1. You're not saying it's the way to go....I think you're a little disgusted, but you've got a cool, hipster's attitude of tolerance that says, "It's all good. There's room for everybody." What are you going to say when these guys get you kicked out of your favorite crag?

  3. Jesus, what is the matter with you guys? For how man generations have climbers found satisfaction, challenge and adventure in the hills and on our walls without resorting to this? And now we're in the information age. Are you telling me the info can't be posted on a website? Are you telling me the info can't be distributed through inexpensive xeros copies? "...I'm not going to yell at somebody..." You'd better do everything in your power to dissuade people from behaving this way. If you don't recognize this as the biggest threat to your access then you're frickin' blind.
  4. Now let's hear one of the sport climbers on this BB come out and defend yet another ethically dubious practice one encounters at Vantage. Come on out, step up to the plate and tell us why it is that we need to follow the Euros. Tell us why our climbing standards are slipping and how we can't hope to "compete" with the trend setters on the other side of the Atlantic if we don't follow lock-step. Fucking pathetic. Dwayner the prophet. I wouldn't be disappointed to see the rocks of Vantage turned into turkey grit.

    What a country!

    Somebody needs a spanking
  6. First of all, while I did vote for Kerry I think the record shows that he is far more honest. Secondly, even this idiot knows how to spell "throughout". Finally, I suppose you're right about my motivation for personal attacks, and in retrospect, I think the comparison between Bush and the chimp was completely cheap and undignified. I wish to apologize to the chimp.
  7. Jackbird Al, you're freely critical of Liberal Dimwit Educators and seem to imply that it is their fault that the kids of America are so stupid. May I ask who is responsible, in your opinion, for your atrocious spelling/grammar?

    good things to know

    Damn funny.
  9. Everybody benefits from public education. Do you want these little pukes running around the streets, stealing your car stereo and selling drugs? Whether or not they actually learn anything, at least the school system keeps them sitting in rows pushing pencils all day so that their parents can go to work and generate some tax revenue.
  10. Quite a few cc.com ladies rushing to Top Gun's defense. You might be wasting your time.
  11. This is what we got. Makes gay marriage and Clinton's BJ's seem comparatively harmless.

    Scott Peterson

Convicted on one count for murdering HIS unborn child. Isn't that interesting? Abortion is then what? A woman's right to choose...... to murder her unborn child? Leno offered the following commentary: "It's finally illegal to kill your wife in California." "Scott Peterson commented that he had an affair because he wanted to have sex with other people. He'll have plenty of opportunities for that soon."
  13. Thanks for the data Jason. Now I think I get it. You cannot understand the logic and message of W's statements unless your IQ falls below 100: "I will be your president regardless of your faith, and I don't expect you to agree with me necessarily on religion," Bush said. "As a matter of fact, no president should ever try to impose religion on our society. ... The great thing that unites is the fact you can worship freely if you choose, and if you _ you don't have to worship."

It's very simple. Within 60 days a woman definitely knows that she is pregnant, and at that point, regardless of what you think of the little critter and its level of development and potential to devlop into Einstein or whatever....at that point, a woman should have to make up her mind as to what she wants to do. Have the baby or abort it and figure it out fast. There is no doubt in my mind that the closer to full term the fetus gets, the greater the crime in aborting it. It is murder, no doubt about it, and at some point you have to say that it is human. I think 60 days is a reasonable amount of time for a woman to be aware of her situation and to decide what to do, and at that point the little critter stands no chance of surviving. After that, I think we need to take a serious look at what we're doing here. Some 40 million abortions since RVW? Wow. If I were a single-issue voter, I could see going with the Republicans on this, but I think there are other incredibly important issues on which I do not feel represented by them.

The answer to all of this is that we need a 3rd candidate in 2008 that will appeal to the Southern redneck/Bible belt element of the Republicans. Find a candidate who isn't a recovering alcoholic, who doesn't have a running mate with a gay daughter, a man who wants to amend the Constitution to define marriage as the Sacred union of a man and woman OF THE SAME RACE. A candidate who wants to make homosexual acts a felony. That candidate would appeal to an enormous fraction of the Republican vote (you know, the uneducated queer-hating Southerners, the 2nd Amendment nuts, etc.) who supposedly voted their moral conscience yesterday. Find that candidate, prop him up as a 3rd candidate, the Dems are back in for 2008. It frightens me how much damage will occur in the mean time.
