I find it hard to get worked up over 20' of trail in an area that was heavily quarried not too long ago. I also think pope's original post was a nice troll and he did an efficent job of running with whatever you goofballs gave him (and keep giving him)

Harsh Lambone, that's why you are so dense huh? Well he looks like a nice dad anyway. You can't judge a book by its cov....cov..... haaa haaa haaa

Yes, you are right, now I feel better. thank you very much. either it was something you said or the 6 pack of Rainier I had for lunch. give me a break! Unless you start threatening to crap on someone's head from the next pitch up I don't think caveman has anything to worry about in his position as spraymeister keyboard ninja at CC.com.

those guys look like Army officers driving that wagon.

Willis Wall should be in fine shape by August. Serioulsly, the Mt. Adams South Spur is a worthy objective for beginners with a "big mountain" feel to it. It's an easy overnighter with a nice big bivy at the lunch counter. Fun summit day too, crampons and iceaxes recomended so, you still feel like you are "climbing". Great views of Hood and the Columbia river all the way up with a nice view of Rainier on a clear day as a reward for getting to the top. No real exposure or danger other than glissading and (obvioulsy) weather. Have fun (its the most important part)

the only issue I have is Dru and Caveman both being gone at the same time, I mean come on what the hell am I supposed to do for the next week, work???

Jesus Dan if your humor were any dryer, I'd think you might be a homo.

I think it is ok to spray now, I like the megamid 'cause you can use it as a parasail off lib cap when you top out and land in yakima to drink at all the dirty feet wineries. Tally Ho! [ 05-08-2002, 01:31 PM: Message edited by: Bronco ]

Nacho's Pre Pub Club Report (this is live!)
Bronco replied to MysticNacho's topic in Climber's Board
Macho Nacho - do you drive the green volvo with oregon plates? I am sorry I missed you, I got to the parking lot at 5:30 with 3 of the Budwiser girls, (you know the ones in the ads) and we partied until about 2:30am, drank a whole keg of beer , decided nobody else was coming and didn't want to wait there all night and went home. Just kidding about the bud girls and the keg, I just figured since both you and Lambone had planned to be out there already and weren't found, (I hiked everything from the country to the inner town wall) nobody else was coming and went home at around 7:30. There were spectacular views of the mountains. If it makes you feel any better, I'd be glad to hook up with you another time out there, especially durring the week. I can give you some pointers on flailing and crying. -
this is the best spray I have seen in quite a while. Thanks Dan and Jon! Maybe Dan and Jon could follow up the Capt. Caveman vs Alpine K battle cage match today at lunch or tag team???
-
yeah and who wants a glass of wine after all that climbing? sheesh, get a clue!
-
They sure look kewl! but they would suck if you had to use them for plunging. Or try a boot-axe belay with those suckers. I think I will get one to carry strapped to my pack up the DC on Rainier next time. Here comes a hardman! watch out, coming through! Serioulsy, they are probably the future of steep ice and mixed climbing. I hear things....
-
You are not a recently retired Catholic Priest are you? Seriously, I don't know if Capt. Caveman is talking about the same guy, but, you could pm this guy, I know he has been involved in that kind of work previously. crack cool thing to do Dan!

Great, if I don't run into you guys earlier, I'll see you in the parking lot around, dark or dark thirty.

No chuck, I would go to one on the eastside but I sure as hell aint driving to the "big city" just to drink beers with you guys. I am not that committed to the cause. I really don't care, just stirring the pot a little. BTW- if anyone is drinking on the eastside tomorow, let me know.

of course I noticed that right after I posted on this one. more coffee!

I just thought (my first time) that I would add to the multitude of Pub Club topics to... ahh.... well just be a smarty pants. I think it's Everett's turn anyway you Seattle hijackers.
-

This weather makes me want to go to Index more than ever and stand around having a beer in the parking lot. Snowball Fight! not really.
