Peter Peter Pumkin Eater - sorry to contradict you but, here's what I have used recently P1 - 15' funky crack - .75 cam, #3 cam P2 - 20' finger crack - 4 nuts P3 - 15' chimney - dont fall P4 - 10' traverse under roof to a nice 20' hand jam - 4 or 5 cams from #1 - #3.5 so, basically what peter said after all I'd also recomend Senior Citizens in Space a nice 5.8 at Private Idaho. probably better when its not raining. Check out UTRABRUTAL! a 5.7 which goes diagonally over the entrance to the missle silo near the Country.

if you catch them, don't hesitate to take matters into your own hands the justice system rarely gives car prowlers priority or hands down appropriate punishment. POSSEE UP VIGILANTES!!

I would suggest that everyone start posting " oh yeah, top of the page mama!" on the first post of a page on every stinking thread on the board.

I know some guys who hunt them and its not killing them that's the problem, its the body retrieval, they tend to jump off of the damn cliffs after being shot. Big wall hauling tactics work pretty good for this.

some of us do it because we are lazy and don't want to carry all of the extra gear required on a planned overnighter. It is kinda fun to travel light as well. I would ask you - why the hell would you want to haul a tent, sleeping bag, pad, 2 extra meals and your large pack for what ammounts to 20 hours of climbing? Why not travel light and do it single push?

If you dont mind Copenhagen all over your boots. anybody else accidentally take a big slurp of chew spit in a beer bottle?

I have some drytool gloves I paid $40.00 for and they are spiffy. I think freeclimb is just having some fun with you guys.

Don't take anything you absolutly don't need to have, improvise. Make sure no one in your group is carrying duplicate items. Using the Lightest ropes you can get away with can save pounds. Hydrate and carbo loading the 24 hours prior to the climb can be a significant factor in how well you perform. Eat lots of pasta, breads and veggies the day before. Cytomax or similar helps on route. Moderate use of caffine is proven to be a performance enhancer. Opinions on it's diaruetic effects differ, so do your own research. Emergency gear is pretty grim for me, 4 extra Cliff bars, hefty garbage bag, either a stove or iodine tablets, 20 ibuprofin caps and 5-10' of ductape. Everyone has what works for them, try it with partners you know pretty well on a route you have done. It's not that big of a deal, how well do you really sleep on an overnighter with an apline start anyway.

Wallstien: Workin aint so bad. I don't really know you, but, based on your opening post, grow up and get some responsibilities in your life and your perspective on "work" will change. I like my job. Your friend, Bronco

My good friend "Pedro" is new to climbing and has limited resources for buying climbing gear (Wife and 2 kids) He has a harness and really needs some shoes to start climbing harder than a 5.8 which he currently does in his running shoes. Do any of you dirtbags have an old pair of size 9 or 9.5 collecting dust in your closet that you would give him? He might give you his old Choinard seatbelt sling in exchange.

Thanks guys, now I have a nice tick list for tomorow if it doesnt rain too hard.

I have been reading this thing once a week or so since Timmy opened it back up and it is all the same. I know some of you have been working hard but, most of you only care about the Glory and Reward of getting to the top of the next page. Where is the love??we need to fire it up around here, Who wants to bolt up Godzilla and Thin Fingers this weekend?? All I got is some quick draws, bolts and a roto hammer and I want to climb these routes now that moderate man erik said they are the 2 best cracks in the state.

the camo hat and cash are just too much of a coincidence. and if you include the fact that the road crew on N. Cascade HWY did not even start to clear the road until the middle of March which is when it opened last year, we are talking major conspiracy!

We look forward to an initiation ritual next meeting where you will be required to play "I'm a Cowboy Baby" by Kid Rock on a banjo.

I thought it would be cute to sneak up on a small herd near Naches once. Till they spotted me and came closer.

Good one Scott! HAR HAR HAR looks like you caught a couple of big smelly bull trouts.

Here's a link to Clint Cumins' online guide to Index Town Walls climbing area. Crammer's guide has a few more routes in it than the website. http://www.stanford.edu/~clint/index/ btw- there are lots of good routes there from 5.7 to 5.9, mostly cracks that eat up the pro.

Oh yeah, ted is primarily a bow hunter.

Assuming all hunters do is drive around in a truck drinking beer and blasting bambi from 4 miles away with a sniper rifle is not too unusual. It is generally the same folks who are educated by watching the Fox network and assume all rock climbers do is pull themselves up the ropes previoulsly installed by the forest rangers. And assume all trees live forever if left alone. 1 - the hardest most suffering days I've ever had were hunting. #2 - duh. #3 - tree's sometimes die(even if they look ok on the outside) and need to be removed before they fall and crush you or your house. all of the above are also very fun, healthy sports to participate in and can be benneficial to the environment.
