On a related topic: one of my buddies (here in ellensburg) told me he looked out his window the other day..and..to his horror, saw a farmer out back fucking his dog. The worst part about it is, there were plenty of sheep in the yard- that sicko passed on perfectly good sheep to fuck his own dog. True story.

Man, those guys are lame. They're posting about routes with drilled pockets and glued on holds, and not taking down quickdraws that have been on a route for two years while some sporto works it. At least nobody's glueing on holds at our crags.

They will drop the fine if you buy the pass ($15). Its worth it- regardless of where the money for the pass goes, $15 is a small price to pay to avoid getting pissed off everytime you climb at vantage. Believe me, I know.

you can leave the snowshoes- I've done this route various times of year and never needed them. You will definitely need an ice axe and crampons, and the skills to use them. There is a 'crux' section that can be pretty steep.

Thanks for the help- I know it wasn't climbing related, but this site is a great source of info.
