Aircraft Wrecks Of The Pacific Northwest

I am writing a new book called Aircraft Wrecks Of The Pacific Northwest and was wondering if anyone has stumbled across any aircraft wrecks in the high country of WA and OR. I am needing some photos of these if anyone has any to offer to this book. I can use most any and am especially interested in some from the two Northrop F-89 crash sites near Salish Peak near Darrington, Washington. Thanks and I really appreciate your help.

I'm not going to get rich by any means. Pilots and book writers are generally poor people. Interesting find though. The story of this wreck is in my second book; Aircraft Wrecks Of The Pacific Northwest, Volume 2.

Olympic Peninsula: Tull canyon Trail

scattered remains of B-17 that crashed in 1941 killing 6. It was discovered years later by hunters. It is not far from Tull City. If you don't already know about this and the location I can send more details.

In 1959, a crash happened in Oso, right next to the Stilly North Fork

There are still a few locals around who recall-

Here is a pic of some wreckage up near the head of the creek that flows from Gold Lake into Lake Dorothy.

 

Are you familiar with the wreck up by the hairpin on Highway 20 (Washington Pass)?

i hear folks still see helicopter parts on occasion up in the crater area of mt. hood

About 10 years ago there were two Marine Corps F-18s that collided over the Gorge. There is probably a good bit of info on that floating around. I suppose that doesn't count as the "high country", but it's certainly PNW.

Hi, Brad.  My dad's cousin was the navigator in one of the planes that went down on Salish.  I'd love to get pics and more info on the crash site.
