rob Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I always thought Bocce was an interplanetary trade-language spoken by C-3PO until I learned it's actually the ancestral game of all hipsters
lunger Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 it's spitting distance from work, i plan to stop by. t-shirt = medium, probably.
olyclimber Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Not too late...you guys got till 5pm on the shirts...
olyclimber Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Jim...its TONIGHT. So nobody won yet. Are you coming?
Hendershot Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Mmm pork pizza... and Von Trapp's is walking distance from my place! Large T-shirt please
Jim Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Been that kind of work week - TODAY is Thursday, duh! Gotta be somewhere at 9:00 so may stop by for a quick brew - but will have to pass on the round-robin bocce ball tournament. Haven't been here yet but it's on the list!
Lukas Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) Shirt=Medium for me... The Fast & Light Climbing in Alaska Presentation is at 7:30PM at Second Ascent too.. : ( so I may not be there.. I'm still deciding Edited March 7, 2014 by Lukas
OlympicMtnBoy Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I might be able to convince my girlfriend she wants to come to Pub Club with me after we visit the Burke Museum tonight (want to see the Elwha exhibit), but I'm not sure how that will go. Maybe? :-) Size medium if I make it, my other two cc.com shirts are getting a little threadbare, especially the Elite Sprayforce Team one.
olyclimber Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 OK see you guys down there. I'll throw a couple shirts in the car in case there is anyone on the fence about coming down. If you've never been to a Pubclub, its fun to meet people in real life, some times they can be completely different than their online personas....and then even more different after a couple beers. Come meet some new friends, and some old ones too. See you down there!
olyclimber Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 Oh and I'll be wearing a red hodded t-shirt with long sleeves...I'll have a cardboard box. And a blue hat that says "RC" on it. Look for the ugliest guy in the joint.
olyclimber Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 Never in the world did I think I would be so good at bocce. Epic. Thanks to the professionals who took the time to show up.
rob Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I had no idea there were so many women lurking on this site! It's really good to see. Thanks for coming out everyone!

olyclimber Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 It was fun to see new faces and old...and Rob's shirt. So where are we going to do this next? Phinney Ridge? Ballard (the edge of the earth)? University district? West Seattle? Freelard? Georgetown? I have more shirts to give out!
mmeyers Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Frelard! Frelard! Next time, I suggest Populuxe Brewery. It may not be big enough, so Chuck's hop shop as a close second. Also, Stoup has reasonable space. Although, now that i think about it, Chuck's always has a food truck out front - my other 2 suggestions don't always. ... Bummed I couldn't make it this time.
denalidave Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I vote for Mountainair, New Mexico. Oh wait, no bar, pub or even a gas station that sells 40's we can swill out of a brown bag on the corner under the streetlamp. Carry on. There's nothing to read here...
denalidave Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Please don't tell me Olyclimber was hawking a nice camera? : )
