Indeed, the sale spike is linked to Beck's pushing it on his propaganda show. It must make JayB all warm inside to know that Beck's viewers, people with the average acumen of a tea pot, will read that book. Quote

Probably also tempered by someone's admonition about getting too optimistic about the effects that a book can have on its readers: "If an ass peers into it you can't expect an apostle to stare out" Quote

olyclimber Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Ha! That reminds me...my first introduction to Keynesian Econ (though not Hayek's writings) was via an Econ 101 Course at a community college. I heard the professor who taught the class went on to bigger things, and it turns out he did! He was a pioneer in the world of TV Infomercials, and it looks like he did ok (his name is Barry Chappell): http://www.fashowcase.com/ He beat Keynes into the class relentlessly. You would have been proud of him Jay. Quote

G-spotter Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Little known fact: Marx spelled it "kapital" for exactly the same reason that modern hippies spell it "magik" and "AmeriKKa". The c key on their computers is broken. Beard hairs will do that. Quote
