Frikadeller Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Its about time that sport died. It will never die. Just get that fact straight in your head now, and you will not worry so much in the future. BTW, take a looksie around a lift served ski area (Except for alta, or others that do not allow SB) and you might be shocked to realize that there actually are more people on snowboards than skis these days. billcoe Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Sure thing Brah, tight pants, the least of your issues. From the story "Nate Holland is a man of conviction and dedication to his cause. He is seeking to rid the world of what he considers the most heinous offense in the history of snowboarding. We're talking, of course, about tight pants." Young folks...sheese. Sadly we saw the loss of a young person today on the mountain and I'm sure that tight pants were not any kind of an issue. "by David Krough Posted on February 15, 2010 at 2:59 PM today at 3:15 PM ****** GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. -- A snowboarder was killed in an accident at Mt. Hood Meadows Saturday. Mt Hood Meadows spokesman Dave Tragethon said 23-year-old Kyle Cryblsky of Vancouver died in a fall at the Rose City terrain park, an area with jumps and rails for experienced riders. Cryblsky had come off a jump when he crashed. He was pronounced dead at the resort's clinic. Tragethon said Cryblsky was not wearing a helmet, but medical examiners had not determined the exact cause of death." Quote

Most snowboarders I see in lift served terrain are sitting on their asses in the middle of the damned run. Just sayin'...... Quote

Just sayin'... Most likely that terrain will have already been scraped clean by the "butter knife on toast" technique the young snowboarders like so much. Quote
Frikadeller Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 (edited) Yeah, that buttered toast method is pretty lame, but then again, that's why I stay off the Green and Blue runs as a rule. Edited February 16, 2010 by Frikadeller Quote
Hugh Conway Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I could cut off my nuts and shove a screwdriver through my eye into the brain and not be dumb enough to snowboard Quote
Frikadeller Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I could cut off my nuts and shove a screwdriver through my eye into the brain and not be dumb enough to snowboard Isn't that what was your motivator to get into skiing in the first place? You still can't snowboard. Probably scared of it. Kind of like when all the older kids made fun of you when you showed up with your crappy sure-grip skateboard at Burnside, and they kicked your ass. Hugh Conway Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 skateboardings gay. now surfing, thats another matter. the king of sliding and perfection on the wave Quote
