Beck Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 Indeed a rightous gathering of Cascade Climbers in the pub club last night , a rousing hurrah to all that made it such a stunning success! I will be at the crags on the 31st! If any Seattlites want to carpool, I'll be leaving about six. Shoot me an email. Quote
Beck Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 I only ran into one tree on my bike on the way home, my shoulder hurts as well as my skull! Quote
willstrickland Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 Beck, you must train with master Will, he teach you drunken biking. Much training necessary, for expert drinker, I mean biker, only. Lucky Labrador on Monday night I got exactly two blocks from the pub before I crashed from being too drunk too get out of the clipless pedals...fell straight over at a stop sign. Got up and then couldn't get back into the right pedal, crank spun and the pedal diced an 8 inch gash in the back of my calf. finally got rolling and clipped again only to find myself lost in a strange (only been there 50 or more times) section of southeast Portland (Ladd's Addition, where all the streets converge to a central park/traffic circle). Finally get home and manage to inadvertently stuff my bike shoes into my haulbag, and surprisingly enough couldn't find them the next morning. Never know when you might need those on a wall route. jules Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 It was a blast, see you next week at the Flying Pig. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 Jman I already used that one. Isn't it perfect though?!! Quote
Jman Posted July 25, 2001 Posted July 25, 2001 Yeah, I just saw it... and, well, you came to mind. Oh, you mean the beer guy. I just found your earlier post. Shoot! I though I was being original. But you know what's best about him? He never stops drinking. Just beer after beer after beer... [This message has been edited by Jman (edited 07-25-2001).] Quote

miker Posted July 26, 2001 Author Posted July 26, 2001 Slight headache? Definitely Late for work? Absolutely. Do it again? Indubitably. Quote
dr._jay Posted July 26, 2001 Posted July 26, 2001 hear, hear. i certainly had an interesting stumble home myself. who bought that damn jager anyway? Quote
lisa Posted July 26, 2001 Posted July 26, 2001 Lets see, I think the first round of jager was kindly offered by Stephan, the second round, Dr. Jay steps up, falls over and wisely leaves the Jager for some other thirsty soul. I must say those stools were pretty unstable as the evening progressed. Quote
mattp Posted July 26, 2001 Posted July 26, 2001 I must have been too far gone by that time. I remember being asked if I wanted one, and I said yes, but then I never drank it. I trust a shot did not go wasted, however. Cheers. Quote

oo9 Posted July 27, 2001 Posted July 27, 2001 As for the drinking and riding, I only got a few scratches from all them brambles on the side of the Burke Gilman as I was foraging for the ripest of the berries. It was a pleasure meeting you all as well as the pleasant surprise to see you who I'd already met. To continued fun and a lot more cervasas next week. See ya'll in Everet! Quote
EddieE Posted July 27, 2001 Posted July 27, 2001 It sounds like I missed out on the fun stuff. I gotta stick around longer next time. Quote
