glassgowkiss Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Rafal Slawinki, Rob Owen and Ian Wested managed to do first winter ascent of Greenwood-Jones route on Mt Temple N Face. Details are unknown, since the party was on the top of the peak as of last night. it's dr. Slawinski's 3rd FWA on N. face of Temple. Quote
AlpineK Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Fuckin rad. I tried to do that back a couple summers ago, but we couldn't get a permit due to a grizzly bear camping out at the base. Quote
billcoe Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Holy crap, bet that would be a first class trip report! Who wants to get in the office pool on if Raindawg will show up to diss on this accomplishment ? Unlikely, but as Polish Bob posted this report, and he seems to bring out the worst in the dawg, it could happen. Bet that was a hairy airy climb. Congrats and here's to getting down safely: Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Isn't being Polish, aid? Those guys are really putting up some cherries  Quote
Dane Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Spring came early this year The face looked cold and dry last week. Gotta give it to Raphael Slawinski and crew. Most are staisfied with one trip up Temple. Two winter trips in 2004 was impressive. Adding the third rock route must be the cream. Good on 'um! Quote
John Frieh Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 25.5 hours Maybe Feathered Friends could get Roger to do a slideshow? Quote
