My predictions:

Obama beats Hillary

McCain beats Ron Paul bets Huckabee

P.S. the voting/ballot for democrats is completely meaningless and will not be used to assign delegates. If you were going to vote in the democratic primary, instead figure out which Republican you like least, and vote for one of the others!

For those that have decided they are voting for a democratic canidate:

he Washington State Democratic Party decided last year that our input into the nominating process would be done through caucuses — and only caucuses. Therefore, the only way you can make your voice heard for the candidate you support is by participating in the Washington State Democratic Caucus on Saturday February 9th, 2008 at 1:00pm in the afternoon.

(Confusingly, there is also a Primary on February 19th, but for Democrats, the Primary does not count towards awarding candidates delegates to the National Convention in Denver. If you are supporting a specific candidate, the caucus is the only way to help him or her win!)

Also this:

The dirty secret of the caucus system is this: Once you have signed in and written in the name of your preferred candidate, you have voted. If you don't want to switch your vote (i.e. if you're backing Clinton or Obama) and you have no interest in serving as a delegate to the county convention, you can just go home and your vote counts. Ten minutes, tops.

it looks like the republicans do it this way:

The GOP is choosing roughly half of its delegates through the primary and the other half through the caucuses, also on Feb. 9.

which sounds more confusing though at least they aren't having a meaningless primary ;)

Um...everything I've read has indicated that it's more likely the other way around, Kev.

I am not so sure…..I will support either one. If you want to vote for the economy…..Hillary is your gal…..if you want to vote to get out of Iraq Obama is your boy. That is how I see it. Let’s not forget Hillary is married to Bill. He was president for the most prosperous time for the USA EVER! Since then…..this country has only ran up the debt thanks to the Bush Crime Family and all the ignorant voters who voted for him (seahawks).

I think there are too many ignorant racist MF@#$#$’s out there who cannot see past color. It is a shame due to Obama appearing to be the real deal.

kevin, i think there are an equal number of mysoginists out there who can't see past gender.

i think hilary is going to be bent on being seen as independent of Bill. i wouldn't assume that his presence will influence economics much.

THE REAL QUESTION IS WHAT ABOUT DIEBOLD! LET'S KEEP OUR EYES ON THE BALL!

lets wait and see who wins first. then, if it isn't the one you wanted then we can start complaining about that.

Socialist. the whole bunch of diceptive cheats. Dressing socialism up in democratic verbage. Just like a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Typical.

Oh, I am 100% for Colin Powel. Yeah, all of your already know it, but until it is official, and the few have decided for the many, our primary system, I am still casting my vote for CP.

Where are you man? Our country really needs you!
