minx Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Sorry Rob, I meant to respond but I must have forgotten. I appreciate your offer. Seattle is a bit far north, and I don't think I plan on going there anytime soon...but once I am out of school, I'll probably head out there with (hopefully I'll have made some equally harcore close friends of mine), and then we can meet up. I have no problem meeting strangers in other locations as long as I have some of my own people with me. I'd love to meet anyone and everyone who climbs mountains, really. i thought that you didn't like people. why even make this post if you're gonna wait to do anything until you're out of school? Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 We found a partner for you and it seems he already lives in your area: Quote
RuMR Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I did a climbing trip back in the 80s in the Canadian Rockies. I didn't have a car or a partner. I got a ride to Vancouver Canada then I bought a train ticket to Lake Louise. I had a huge duffel bag full of gear and some food. I then went out to the Highway and stuck out my thumb. After awhile I got a ride up the Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefields. I then got a campsite and started walking around and talking to folks who looked like climbers. In the end I met a decent partner with a car and we did a bunch of climbing all the way from an attempt on Robson to climbing Mt Louise down by Banff. At the end I got back on the train and got back to Vancouver and then a ride to Seattle. All it took was the desire, some money, and the will to make it happen. i think that whole "will" thing is lacking... all i know is i ate a lot of rice and potatoes when i was climbing all the time... Darasius Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 By the way, what do you guys think of this sweet look of mine?? I wore it all of monday, and my neighbor( a crazy german lady who drives an expensive sports mercedes) seriously loved my outfit, she like...freaked out over it and told me its time that she ships me away to europe or something and went off on her mini rant on how crappy americans are and that they don't know how to dress, and that shes shocked to see me actually dress up, and that shes impressed, and that I'm ready for Paris, etc. etc. Yea, shes nuts. I'm a rare breed of intellectual/adventurer(aspiring hardcore mountaineer)/fashion designer. Try to find one of those around. You wont!! Quote

minx Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 hey, one more question....do you have a job? Quote
G-spotter Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 If you're really an intellectual, is mind/brain duality dead? Quote
Darasius Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 By the way part two: Check out my killer calves: Yes, those are really mine. Further proof that I am hardcore mountain climber. I have to admit that's pretty impressive for a 20 year old girl. And I'm just getting started!! Quote

Darasius Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 I do not have a job. Currently I'm going to UCLA and am looking into working for a fashion stylist in los angeles as an internship. Quote
Darasius Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 is that sarcasm? Darasius is a mutation of my real name, and something my mother used to call me when I was much younger. Quote
minx Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 my comment was not in regards to your name. Quote
