hefeweizen
National Stay Out of the Woods Weekend? I've finally learned that the headaches of travelling and the mysterious hords that appear at every TH are just not worth the extra day off. I just take an extra day off on a normal weekend when I need 3. I'll be putting in some QT with the fam and while I watch all the suckers lined up on HWY 2 drive by my house . rob
Labor day weekend, for me, is a sort of yearly nightmare. I plan on crawling into a bottle of Basil Haydens, grilling up some portobello mushrooms, and staying away from the sheeple.

lizard_brain
Get up nice and early, head for Starbucks, sit in a comfy chair and read Raymond Carver in the mornings and go running in the afternoons. Maybe go gear shopping on Saturday. I need more biners and slings - I keep running out. New boots too, but those can wait until spring. Macson
Fishing at Alta Lake, Golfing in Winthrop. No climbing. The kids have been at Grandma's house for the last 3 weeks, so we have to go over there and pick them up before school starts back up on Tuesday. KaskadskyjKozak
Parents are in town. So, entertain them. Probably take the kids for a 6-10 mile hike somewhere one day. Barbecue one day with parents AND inlaws - maybe shashlik, spanakopita, zakusky etc with vodka or armenian brandy and/or kindzmarauli... decisions, decisions. KaskadskyjKozak
mean. I like it. My parents eat nothing "weird", my inlaws eat so much onions and garlic that you sweat and piss out the smell for 2 days.
