DirtyHarry Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 everyone should join in. getting in shape can be fun... Why get out of shape in the first place? Quote
ScottP Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Can I use it for Abalakovs? Probably not a good idea, as they tend to break into segments. That, and if you can access it, it is probably coming out of your butt... Quote

Peter_Puget Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 Come you wankers....I've been to a Pub CLub some of you should be entering the contest. Yes, liposuction counts. Quote
RuMR Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 all the people who go to "pubclub" are not at the gym or climbing...one would expect them to be porkers... Quote

sapphire25 Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 If this really does happen, I'm in. I'm embarrassingly out of climbing shape at 140lbs and could stand to lose at least 10lbs. Quote
archenemy Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 So what if we did a percentage-lost competition to make it a little more even? Quote
sapphire25 Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 That's probably a good idea, since I'm sure some of us have more to lose/tone then others Quote
EWolfe Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Try weighing in at 105 pounds and let a gust o' wind of 60 blow you over into the snow.Your exhausted before you ascend . that's why the lightest person on the team carries the most weight! . I'll remember that you said that in The Tetons this summer! Quote
erden Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Try rowing an ocean! I am actually trying to put on weight to reach 220lbs before my launch on the Pacific early June. The problem is I am stuck at around 210lbs. Eating stops at some point, and I feel satiated! By the time I get across to Australia, likely I will have lost weight down to 180 lbs, or so. Part of that loss will be muscle atrophy: muscles used in walking, running, especially those below the knees lose mass. Erden. Quote

Peter_Puget Posted May 2, 2007 Author Posted May 2, 2007 I'm in too. Weigh-in next Monday morning? I doesn't need to be public. Then participants report loss every monday for four weeks? Quote
rmncwrtr Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I'd love to join. I really need to lose 10 pounds. I'd love to lose even a few more than that, but I like chocolate too much! Quote

Then participants report loss every monday for four weeks? petey I think that is a great idea can we go for 8 weeks instead?? i don't mind if it is public. that might shame me into stopping with the icecream and onion rings Quote
archenemy Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 (edited) Dude, you could kick my ass even if you were standing in Canada--it's just that big. The group total might be a fun measure--and no one who didn't want to give away their absolute wt. in public still wouldn't have to! edit: this was in reply to Virenda7's post that is now gone... Edited May 2, 2007 by archenemy Quote
joblo7 Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 went to edit 'cause i read the rules. i was going for most pounds in a month. group total is sort of automatic. so its fastest to -12lbs? we all should post our real weight,age,add-ons and turn-ons Quote
