Dechristo Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 my perception is your perception fails to recognize all elements of fear operating in your life - as is the case for everyone. Quote
joblo7 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 fears we have, solutions we need. guns? no. when we have fear of heights and bulldozer hills , fear remains. Quote
Dechristo Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) fears we have, solutions we need... fear remains. right, so stfu about fear Edited January 6, 2007 by Dechristo Quote
joblo7 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) ok if you stfu about guns! the arguments made here by others about personal safety which is fear based . guns provide nothing if you say you like the feel of power when you fire a gun, that's different. guns are fun! Dechristo Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 it's fortunate you have no fear of dizziness... ...for all your spinning. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) i have a similar feel when i am IN nature, she's is the host ,i am her guest. however i just dont pull canon and blast a beautiful deer 'cause i get a rush.or i like IT'S meat. we are more focused on discussing city gun-life. its useless.fear is the enemy. STFU, n00B. I was talking to V7 about 'higher/lower' instincts. If the fear you're talking about isn't a 'lower' instinct, I don't know what is. PS I don't hunt. joblo7 Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 fear is a lower instinct and you react with a even lower one : to kill Quote
tiaga Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Mayor Nickol is just blowing the political "smoke of the week". The only thing he and his advisor minions give a crap about is re-election. Quote
mattp Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Agreed, Tiaga. Mr. Mayor is not a very impressive "leader." Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 fear is a lower instinct and you react with a even lower one : to kill The only thing I've killed in recent memory is my buzz from reading this thread. Quote
tiaga Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I know I'm being too kind. Poor leadership skills seem to be a prerequisite for Seattle Mayors of late, as well as other city posts - and King County Executive, for that matter. There are some sharp tools out there, but no one is electing them. Quote
cj001f Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 If someone highly skilled were to take office in those urban oriented positions it might become really, really scary for those of us living in rural East King County. Heaven forbid they enact and enforce more anti-bestiality legislation. Quote
archenemy Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Duh. It's not rifles. It's fawkin' HANDGUNS. It's those jack boot thugs, the NRA. It's some folks moronic idea that limiting hand guns is impinging on their "Rights"... "I'm sorry sir. You'll have to wait a week before I can sell you this SigSauer." Nooooooooooooooo!! Wake up. "It affords me personalpro." Do it the old fashion way. Sawed off shotgun. Turn his wannabe intruder ass into hamburger helper. Buy an Akita or two. Actually, sawed off shotguns are already illegal. 18" barrel required. Penalty for violation is as severe as owning a fully automatic gun in many states. In Washington State there is NO waiting period for a gun purchase w/concealed weapons permit. A handgun is the ideal personal/home protection. The shotgun being the perfect home defense weapon is pure hooey, IMO. But you're right about the dog! Absolutely nothing beats a loyal medium-to-large sized dog for home security. Unfortunately, the bad elements of society seem fond of certain unstable breeds these days. Indeed. What would an intruder do if he saw this killer weenie decending on him the minute he stepped foot into my abode? Or in full attack mode: Certain death Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 How to you attach the toast to his back? Quote
archenemy Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 How to you attach the toast to his back? Staple gun Quote
Fairweather Posted January 7, 2007 Author Posted January 7, 2007 Part Aussie? Great dogs. Scary smart. BTW; beautiful ceiling! - but who put outdoor siding on the inside? Quote
archenemy Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Thanks. Took some work. The roofing shingles cover a lame-ass wallboard. Much better effect when you live out in the woods whenever possible. Quote
mtn_mouse Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Indeed. What would an intruder do if he saw this killer weenie decending on him the minute he stepped foot into my abode? Right. You wouldn't try that with a gun now would you? Quote
archenemy Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 I also don't feed it, bathe it, or pick up it's shit. Quote
Dechristo Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Is there a legal exception for the use of sawed-off shotguns in indoor skeet competition? Quote
Dechristo Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 (edited) [snobcarpenterrant]and I gotta say, that's a lame finish where the wall meets the ceiling and around the windows... you needs a pro carpenter. and I notice you didn't lap the shingles sufficiently to cover the white of the previous wall pokin' through between the shingles. I'm whorrified[/snobcarpenterrant] Edited January 8, 2007 by Dechristo Quote
