archenemy Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I am tired of the rainy weekends. I am tired of complaining about rainy weekends. Maybe Seattle should have a more flexible week and just call it Saturday any day its not raining. Quote
catbirdseat Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Oh, did it rain in Seattle? It wasn't raining in Vantage. Quote
RogerJ Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 You could move to Portland. It only rains here on weekdays and not during bike commute times either. Quote
archenemy Posted May 8, 2006 Author Posted May 8, 2006 That sounds convenient, but my brother lives in Portland. I don't think one city can handle two people from my family at once. Quote
catbirdseat Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 You could move to Portland. It only rains here on weekdays and not during bike commute times either. It took an act by the State Legislature, didn't it? Why don't our people in Olympia do THEIR job and make it rain on weekdays? Quote

Maybe Seattle should have a more flexible week and just call it Saturday any day its not raining. Â But how would you deal with a whole year with only 20 Saturdays? Quote
kix Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Seattle Sucks  a remarkable grasp of the obvious.  altho saturday was perfect. bouldered locally all day. Quote

When everyone on this site is bummed because it's too wet to climb rock and too warm for anything to freeze, you'll be busy watching the gauges rise and getting psyched for a weekend o' boating. Quote
archenemy Posted May 8, 2006 Author Posted May 8, 2006 And I'd finish the whole thing off by drowning. Water is bad enough falling out of the sky. Quote

Dustin_B Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 You are saying seattle sucks because it was nice for ~10 days and then rained for a couple days which happened to be the two days you had off?? Sounds like the problem is your job/schedule and not Seattle... Quote
archenemy Posted May 8, 2006 Author Posted May 8, 2006 Gee, thanks Mr. Dustin B. Genius! Golly, the insight surely is appreciated. Quote
Stefan Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) Don't try and fight the rain. Embrace it. Give your heart peace. Â I don't wanna be looking back on my life and say, "I did not get out enough becuase of the weather." So I go out regardless of the weather. It is true. Ask Klenke and catbirdseat. They see my trip reports. Edited May 8, 2006 by Stefan Quote
DirtyHarry Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 So I go out regardless of the weather. It is true. Â Core. Quote
