catbirdseat Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 One of my goals is to get to Joshua Tree and climb more than 3 route I did when I got rained out last year! I want to climb until my fingers are raw and my muscles are sore and a big fat grin is almost permanently etched on my face. Quote
wayne Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I wanna go back to Packistan! Any takers? I would like to one up K1. Around here , I would like to steal a few of Laytons projects and a couple of my own: New rt on either Sloan , fingers, (undisclosed), Girth, Tor-Forbidden, Gunsight, I-rock, Black Spider, Index, ...You get the idea. This should be a great year to be a climber again! Quote
JosephH Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Get folks to step up and volunteer to adopt and clean one column route each out at Beacon now that the anchors have been replaced on them. Quote
pope Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 so what are your goals poop? To change my phone number and rid my house of your girlfriend's lingerie. Quote
pope Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Which route pope? Compared to this: every route on Stuart is good. South side is for descents Don't go down Ulrich's. Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Oh pope you poor puppy you. you don't have a clue as to the beauty of how well those lines climb. absolutely the best steep sickness that i've come across in this state. the big cave above is looooooong and oh so full body, and the shorter one is really just an extended boulder problem at twenty moves long, but what twenty moves! you see, i get the best of both worlds: alpine AND super-delish sporto overhanging happiness! pope Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Ulrich's is a beautiful ski descent. Are you sure you were in the right gully? I remember (when I was 18) a cliff near the bottom. I recall abseiling a 30+ ft bulge in August. Hard to imagine enough snow to turn that cliff into a ski run. Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Ahhh top secret, yet right under your nose, pope. As a matter of fact, I'll guarantee that you've walked within twenty feet of the big line, and within fifty of the shorty. And MisterE, different cave at a different locale! Although yes indeedy the one you show is super fun too.... Quote
