trevor1 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Anyone know of a climbing area in Issaquah like marymoor's or UW's climbing rocks? Quote
EWolfe Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 No, butI heard about some sweet limestone there.... Quote
Dru Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 There's some sweet granite in Renton. Behind the school, in a ravine. Quote
spicoli11 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I would like to do a traverse of the sammamish plateau housing projects.....but I am to scared to commit to it. Fears are: Chemically topped roofs(moss-off), Shitty pre-fab lie-backs, Getting plowed down by the soccer moms in escalades, and that I might end up shopping at the gap. Any partners??? Quote
knotzen Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 That's only for rich people, though. Quote

You have Issacraw down, man. That's my neighborhood. Quote
kix Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 eliminates in the costco warehouse racks Quote
catbirdseat Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Here's a serious answer. No, those are the only two free man made outdoor climbing rocks near Issaquah. If you want to know about natural rock, that's another question. Quote
Jens Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 As was said, the health club has a tower. Also as has been discusse before their is stuff off the SR900 renton-issaquah highway but no granite though. Quote
DPS Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 That's only for rich people, though. Â Ummm, I'm not rich and I belong to the Sammamish Club. Quote
spicoli11 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 hey buddy....looks like you park your bike in bellevue Quote
knotzen Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Sorry--no offense. And, not that it's bad to be rich. Wish I wuz! Â To me, $85/mo. is steep for a gym membership. Guess it depends on where else you spend your money. I suppose it's not much more than some people pay for cable and Netflix each month? And throw in designer haircuts and manicures--again, I dunno--I don't pay for these things, but they would add up to more than $85/mo., likely. I sit corrected--it's relative. Quote
chris Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Actually, I can vouch that DPS isn't rich. He's a closet dirtbag who owns a house, and most of his income goes into it. Quote
DPS Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 then you are pretentious That's why I drive an 11 year old pick up truck that the neighbors complain about. Gotta keep up appearances. Quote
EWolfe Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Give 'em a few CCR's and they think they can run the world... Quote
kix Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 thats right, my bike is parked in bellevue, along with my escalade, which I drive to the Pro Club and Vertical World, where I maintain memberships, while wearing leather driving gloves. I only drink Chateau Margeaux and I only smoke the finest herb. All my tailored shirts are monogrammed and my back is waxed monthly. I enunciate all my words precisely and my teeth have been whitened. Â I could go on, but I just farted a greasy fart so bad they are evacuating the office. I may have to go wipe before the stain shows thru. Â so you see, I gotta keep up appearances too. Â actually, I don;t think it smells so bad. why is everyone running? Quote
RuMR Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 HAHAHA! Â I just spit my latte out of my nose onto 4 screens at work! Quote
knotzen Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 HAHAHA! I just spit my latte out of my nose onto 4 screens at work! Damn, I hate when that happens. Quote
knotzen Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Speaking of kix, someone stole my bike last night. Quote
spicoli11 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 You needs to put a chastity belt on that shit girl Quote
knotzen Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Yeah, turns out it was dumb not to lock it up. I just figured it was safe on my carport in mellow, home-town Issacraw. Bummer. Quote
Doug Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 There is a crumbly crag on the w. side of SR900, about 1.5 miles s. of newport way. No real gear placing opportunities, but plenty of bomber shit for top-roping anchors. Quote
