Distel32 Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 yeah, so got back from the countryside last week. Spent 12 days in Baynxongor aimag. here ya go..... Quote
bouldergirl27 Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 beautiful pics once again... but what else would we expect?! looks like you're having a great time (don't forget to steal a mongolian four-eyed sheep dog for me) Quote
Matt Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Saikhan bain aa. How's your Mongolian coming along? I can barely remember the sounds... your pictures remind me of a saying my friend taught me in Khentii-- "Emectei khun khavariin tenger shig ashtei." Loosely translated as "a woman's spirit is like the sky in spring..." Not the best pick up line but you'll get a few laughs while drinking arkhi with the boys. Have fun and be safe. Quote
wdietsch Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 that gives a whole new meaning to the phase "Camel Toe" very cool pics Quote
Gerard Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 great pics! I was in outer mongolia in 2000 but since it was border region there was not a soul around. The scenery was spectacular though... your pics take me back. Thanks! Quote

Dru Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 The challenge was "Boulder a yak" not "boulder a camel". Have you sent any AV-equipped dummies yet? Quote
Distel32 Posted May 2, 2005 Author Posted May 2, 2005 normal mongolian food. sometimes good, sometimes acquired taste, whatever, food is food. I bet right now I can out eat the lot of you. Quote
specialed Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 That's sick! Nice camel. Doing any fishing there? Apparently, Mongolia bosts some of the world's best trout streams. Quote
Winter Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 They got Taimen, largest salmonid in the world. This is a small one. Apparently you fish for them by floating large rates (or small children) through the deeper pools. Quote
cj001f Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Across the border Lake Baikal has fresh water seals, among other oddities. Quote
JayB Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 Thanks for the photos, Luke. Looks like an amazing trip so far. Quote
Dru Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Across the border Lake Baikal has fresh water seals, among other oddities. A fresh water seal sounds more like an "otterty" to me "Looks like you blew your fresh water seal..." "No, it's just fermented mare's milk" Quote
