iain Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Mr. Carter is also a Nobel laureate. I doubt GWB will be heading to Stockholm anytime soon. That is, if he knows where Stockholm is. Quote

glassgowkiss Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 so this just tell the tale about people in this coutry. about 60% said kerry won this so called "debate" (how in the hell can u call it a debate, sice they could not talk to each other and they knew the questions beforehand???!!!) anyway, 70% of the same group said the debate did not change the way they are going to vote. so the moron loses this verbal match and still people will vote for him? willstrickland Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 OMFG!!!! You have to see this:  http://www.pleasurecaptains.com/favor/howsmall.html  Devastating! This sums up in 1 minute everything you need to see about how Bush did in the first debate. Quote
dmuja Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Just think, he is our "leader", the most powerful man on earth, the one we chose to represent our nation to the rest of the world, the one we elected,...well....almost elected. Alex Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 sice they could not talk to each other and they knew the questions beforehand???!!! Â which just goes to show how much you know about anything at all, since the candidates didnt in fact know the questions before the debate. duh. go back to shagging sheep and ranting about how lame we all are since we cant climb 5.13 like you, but stay out of politics! dmuja Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Actual quote by George W Bush, Â "Too many OBGYNs are not able to practice their "LOVE" with women across the country" Â Quote
Roger Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 I don't want someone who doesn't read, that has limited experience in the world, that is inarticulate, or that is plain dumb. Â If you did, why did you vote for Clinton, Dukakis, or Carter? Each had limited experience in the world, had communication problems, and had their share of gaffs. are you fucking kidding me? damn it's sweet to hear bush supporters getting this desperate... Quote
Skeezix Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 How was Clinton more prepared, having been the two-bit governor of some backwater state? The question was about intelligence and experience. Clinton was a Rhodes scholar. He was a policy wonk who could cite obscure details smooth as Martin Sheen. Bush is swimming in the intellectual shallow end. No, wait...he's floundering! Cheney --throw him a life ring! Quote
Stonehead Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Debate incident leads to injury  The Herald-Sun Oct 1, 2004 : 5:57 pm ET  CARRBORO -- After watching the presidential debate Thursday night, two UNC students ended up slapping each other while fighting over who Jesus would vote for in the election.  According to a police report, the concept of "turning the other cheek" came up, and James Robert Austin, 19, of 1305 Granville Towers West in Chapel Hill, slapped Robert Brooks Rollins, 22, of 104 Brewer Lane in Carrboro, on the cheek at Rollins' house.  After that, Rollins slapped Austin, and Austin landed on the concrete patio, possibly striking his head, according to the report. Rollins called for an ambulance, which took Austin to UNC Hospitals to be examined.  Neither Rollins nor Austin wanted to pursue the matter further, the report said. --source Quote

Gary_Yngve Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 What was Kerry's statistic last night? 90% of the cost and 90% of the casualties. Such and incredible and helpful alliance we have. Â My favorite part was when Kerry was saying that we started the war only with the Brits and Aussies behind us, and Bush interrupted to say that Kerry forgot Poland. Quote

Actually you both are right. Though they did not know the specific questions of the debate, they knew the general topics that would be discussed. None of the questions asked should have been a surprise to either of them. Quote
