Buckaroo Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 Wanting to rap with one twin 50m rope and a piece of 4 mil 50 meter zip line. Apparently you tie a knot that won't pass through the rap ring and then rap on the single twin and pull with the zip line. What kind of knot do you use or is there some kind of setup with a beaner? Pros and cons? Quote

cluck Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Actually, the best knot for this specific purpose is this one: Note: it is crucial to tie the Beast can in with a single overhand slip-knot Quote

cj001f Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Fi Fi hook rubber band and single rope. Does that setup come with the Wile Coyote cartoon death scream, or is that an optional ACME extra? Quote

cj001f Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Pull "quick release" end either with twine or using prussik or rubber band. If I understand that correctly, wouldn't the prussik or rubber band methods require relatively constant pressure on the rap line to be reliable? Quote
